Facebook is asking me to prove who I am

Anyone else have this? I was practically locked out, not that it really matters, until I uploaded an ID and answered a few questions. I uploaded a picture of an albino ball python for my ID. It let me in but I got an email that said it was under review. WTF??? It demanded that I tell them who I really am. They may not believe my first name is Chondro and my last name in Nation. What happened to having a business name on FB? In today's day and age of Photoshop it would be so easy for me to make any ID I wanted and upload it. I don't get it.

Anyone else have them ask for this info?

You're right, it is because of the "suspicious" name. They do require that you verify any names they think might be jokes or just plain wrong.

You have to have a separate business profile from your personal profile.

You need a personal profile to run or create a business profile, but they are two different things in the FB world.

You won't have those issues if you do that.

Had so many fights in this house over people posting shit from parties etc. Soon as we get in bham, tell blah blah to take my f;ing picture off I look terrible, yes I talk about females. One of my sons friends who I follow on twitter contently posts "Oh man where has the summer gone I'm so depressed". I'd say to call their customer service and tell the truth about the fake birthday etc but I swear they have no customer service. My wife lost access to all her friends there..she could log on but could contact no one..this went on for a while. Eventually I started looking about how to contact them. Only site I found (which I think was their cus service site) had a thread of like 500 people reporting this problem but no input from facebook at all and no fixes posted. Twilight zone stuff right there.

I had to join for my career change thing..and compared to how an average guitar forum is organized it sucks..stuff gets lost and buried and it is hard to search for stuff. I don't trust it..won't even put my picture there (never mind my kids)..use one of my dogs. Maybe I'm paranoid.
