BadgerDave Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Yes, I've owned and sold two of these. I can't overcome the addiction. Would love to reacquire either of the two I formerly owned or any of the other 28.Will pay a solid price depending on condition (up to $3K for 9.9/10) or trade my 2007 Les Paul '59 historic.
pirateflynn Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Yes, I've owned and sold two of these. Was it the Victory inlays?
Hbom Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 What's a triple threat?http://www.hamerguitars.com/?fa=custompop11&keepThis=true&
ARM OF HAMER Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 What's a triple threat? Being he has owned 2 of these awesome guitars already and sold them both......................We are going to threaten him now if he buys another and EVER sells it!
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 What's a triple threat? It's one of Hamer's finest models and one of the surest ways to rapidly accelerate your Hamer financial drain. It's on my must get list.
django49 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 IMO, it is the best sounding Hamer I have played, though I confess to having upgraded pickups.
duncans Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Dibs on the 3rd? I'm Hamer-less right now. (Just Kidding of course but one of those is on my list.)
PaGator Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Wow, the spec is very sweet, can understand why you are back knocking on the door
ARM OF HAMER Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 This WAS one of yours was it not? ...................................now thats a top guitar with a TOP TOP !
django49 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 As I understand it, each of the 30 made was unique----Different looking woods, etc......Each of the three that has passed through my hands has been killer in every way.
moozak Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 This WAS one of yours was it not? ...................................now thats a top guitar with a TOP TOP ! That one was once mine... And was used in their catalog at one time. Cool guitar.
BadgerDave Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 This WAS one of yours was it not? ...................................now thats a top guitar with a TOP TOP ! Yes, that's my former guitar and former basement wall.
BadgerDave Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 Yes, I've owned and sold two of these. Was it the Victory inlays? Well, yes. But I'm willing to give them another chance.
ib2010 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 I had this one for a while, really screwed the pooch letting it slip away. Absolutely, drop dead, beautiful in hand !!! My E.M. Studio nudged it out the house in a family throw down. The huge TT neck seemed to require a few minits to acclimate to, from ANY other guitar. It would have been fine, if it was my main go to axe. Good luck with the hunt. (btw, it sold to an outsider, somewhere in washington state?)
crunchee Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 I had this one for a while, really screwed the pooch letting it slip away. Absolutely, drop dead, beautiful in hand !!! My E.M. Studio nudged it out the house in a family throw down. I hate those family throw-downs, especially about guitars. And especially during (or is it because of?) The Holidays.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Want. Badly. From what my sleep deprived noggin can recall, I've never read anything here or otherwise - other than great to incredible reviews on the Triple Threats. They are by all estimations a perfect example of Hamer's ability to craft exquisite guitars. To me, they are one of those "sell a kidney" guitars. If you know where one lives, I'd invoke dibs whenever you can. I have.
