Studio Custom Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Fraudulent eBay ad This ad had a stolen photo of Steve and I at the Iridium when I received the PRS ray gun guitar and a ray gun. The person cropped the photo to remove the ray gun I received. I have reported it to eBay. Please do not assume this item is legitimate or that I am involved in anyway with this sale.
DaveL Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Crappy! Recommend others also hit the "report" button to get this cretin from using those pics.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Looks like the auction was killed by the Evilbay security or ended by scammer. Scammer has some huge stones pulling that one - wow.

specialk Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 I emailed the seller and asked him if it was him in the picture with SS. He said no, so at least he was honest about that.
Studio Custom Posted June 3, 2017 Author Posted June 3, 2017 Josie confirmed the ray gun was never Steve's and the entire story is bogus.

kizanski Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 What a fuckin' jerkoff. He toned down his description in this relisting to just imply that this is one of SS's ray guns, as opposed to stating it outright in the first ad.

A lot of people ask me how Steve Stevens was able to create the various sounds and space like effects in his guitar solos with Billy Idol. Well, this ray gun can be used to create the exact same sounds as heard on the 1983 Billy Idol album, Rebel Yell. Steve Stevens used it to produce space like sound effects on his guitar solos throughout the album. Also used was a Lexicon PCM 41 in the studio and often times during live shows. Adjusting the rate and speed of sound frequencies with the turn of a knob speeds up time warped sounds. Who are these people? Why are they asking you?
Boomerang~Junkie Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 It amazes me that Evilbay routinely allows these scammers to KEEP their account open - WTF?!? I do not care what "rare" thing they are peddling - scamming shitbags like this are just dead to me. Fuck'em.
Studio Custom Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 So you account was breached and the only thing they did was add my photo to your ad?
MCChris Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Simply put, I have no sympathy for any grown-ass man who gets hosed when buying a fucking ray gun.

cynic Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 The market for this thing can't realistically be greater than one person, can it?
