Just wondering, doesn't look like a 3 pc neck, does it? I thought they were 3 piece necks. Also, did they put the "N" before the number on those? The ones I've see had a "0" in front of the number. Or did they do it differently as they made them? Just a couple things that I wasn't positive on. Could have been slightly different throughout their production. I'm sure there are experts out there that would know.

It is a 3pc. Zoom in.

Grovers on a V headstock? Blecch!

The good thing here is that grovers usually share the same bottom hole with

a Kluson... so you could get a gold set and pop them back pretty easily.

Although my question would be was there something going on that

prompted the change in tuners?   not holding it's tuning etc...

I just think some people

feel they need to

change something.

WTF, I own #13!

This is a a damn lie and a fraud, unless there is a run that I don’t know about.

ETA: Mine was purchased by the same guy who still owns the #13 Standard.

What should I do?

Check for empty V-shaped guitar cases.

@DaveH, does yours say "013" or "N13," like this one (a serial config I have never seen, by the way)?

The ones I've had from the original run of 72 had a Zero in front of them.

Never seen an "N##".

Wasn't there a run made to export to Japan?

"N" for "Nippon"?
That sounds possible.

Other special Japanese runs didn't have any sort of designation in the serial number. Of course, the Vector may be different.

Here's a pic of one of the Japanese export Futuras.

Speaking of Futuras, maybe it was one of Rick Nielsen's.

In 97 there was a limited run for Nakao in Japan.  The N was added to differentiate from the limited run of 72 made for the US market.  I wonder how many made it back over here.

Spoke to the owner. This is the 2nd one he has owned with the N symbol. Both were bought in Japan!

That's awesome to know! Thanks for the clarification, and I'm glad it's legit.

Now, he just needs to fix his ad!

Yes I gave him the heads up 911. Now see if he fixes the add.
