diablo175 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 If it has a Kahler, you might as well put that thing in the fireplace and look for what you really want. 🤣
hikarateboy Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 My understanding is the original shop that made them and was next store to Arlington Heights factory recently (within last few years) said they still have the drawings and could make them but I think the investment to do a run far exceeds one or two pieces but you never know. For someone really interested it might be worth a call.Â
bruce919 Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 I have drawings for the bridge, if any one wants the pdf or cad files. Took one from an early 80's special & just reversed engineered it. We need some one that know plating better to give that call out. I know you will need a copper layer over the brass before you nickel plate.
scottcald Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Sounds like if everyone bought one or two (or eight) it might be financially feasible.Â
cmatthes Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Hmmmm...why does this all sound SO familiar? Â Â
stonge Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 It's easy... It's just a pound of brass milled out and plated. Go for it. Make a few. It's a cakewalk. Such a simple part. Nuttin' to it... hahaha...  Â

Steve Haynie Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 The auction listing has a Make Offer option. One can always see what kind of deal can be worked out. One should also shed a tear for the Vector getting molested after 36 years.Â

Its never going to be an unmolested guitar, so if you don't want to put the money in it and it sound good throw it back together and play it.Â
