Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Solid, 5/4, flamed and book-matched, big leaf Maple body (darker amber finish), Birdseye neck with Pao Ferro finger board, working onboard Copeland TC300 active 3 band EQ, matched set of original Seymour Duncan pickups, Sperzel locking tuners, ABM roller tremolo with arm, Lubritrak nut, matching headstock finish with large “Hamer” logo, satin nickel hardware, and comes with a very nice, heavy duty faux snakeskin, non-factory hard case. This case is unusually stout and heavy and fits this guitar like a glove. Note: the case interior has a faint smell of some sort of manly air freshener (sandalwood?) - no Michael, it is not from herb or patchouli. Its not smoke or anything close - it doesn’t bother me at all, but it is there. This had a fret dress and professional setup when I bought it. It has not been played enough since then to have any fretwear. The frets are in excellent overall condition. Other than very faint swirling and light tarnishing on the bridge and neckplate, I could find no notable blemishes on this guitar. This is all original and as nice a Vintage S as you can find anywhere. It is truly a collector grade Vintage S, no issues guitar that plays like a Hamer. Sorry, no trades and sale to the CONUS only. I’ll post photos here tomorrow. $1400 shipped to your door. Payment is cashiers or personal check.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 I tried to get a more accurate color rendering in the natural sunlight, but it actually lightened it up some. My photography skills flat suck - sorry. The shade of amber on this Vintage S is a bit darker in room/natural light. The flames wrap all the way around the guitar and look REALLY deep - because they are!
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 I apologize about the goofy photo orientation - I can't get them to post correclty - ugh.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 I LOVE the size of this headstock logo.
ARM OF HAMER Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 VERY NICE! If I was a buyer for one of these that would be the one to have! GLWTS
Jakeboy Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Those are so damn awesome looking....I bet they play likewise...
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 10, 2018 Author Posted December 10, 2018 Jake - Yes, they are amazing. They will ruin you for other pedestrian, Strat type guitars.
SSII x 2 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Beautiful! Insane 'eye' on that neck! GLWtS!
Drew816 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 DDDAAAMMMMMNNNNNNNNN!!! Wow, that thing is amazing. What's the neck profile on it like? Similar to the Special/Sunbursts of the day or? Man, I feel faint...
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 10, 2018 Author Posted December 10, 2018 I'd estimate the necks on these to be similar to the Daytona's if that is any help. In its own right, the Birdseye on the neck is as cool as the body.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 15, 2018 Author Posted December 15, 2018 Yes, I'm pretty sure this is Aztec Gold - the color rendering just may not be exact from my sucky photos.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted April 3, 2019 Author Posted April 3, 2019 Vintage S - Bumpskie's ETA: I also have a spare (functional) Copeland on-board EQ set-up that goes with these and the T-62's etc.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted April 4, 2019 Author Posted April 4, 2019 Time for this to go to a new HFC home. Price Drop: $1400 shipped (CONUS) to HFC supporting members.
Bennyboy-UK Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 This is gorgeous - however, I have found one with a Floyd and HB in the bridge which is a bit more useable for me - but If this one is for sale in future, I'll probably have a crack at it!
