DavidE Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 That's really unusual! I'm curious what the spruce top does, if anything, for the tone.
silentman Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Cool... No chamber? That probably would have added to the spruce factor.
Jeff R Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 The absence of traditional mounting rings really makes that one jump out to me visually, in a very cool way. Awesome!
tomteriffic Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 WOW! Tres cool! Bet the Joneses and the Spruce are a nice combo.
pesocaster Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 If it only had ghost flames ...... ha ha ha Be sure and post a tone report!!!
atquinn Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 That's possibly the strangest Standard I've heard of specs-wise. It sure as hell looks nice though. Let us know how it sounds when it gets there.-Austin
elduave Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 If it only had ghost flames ...... ha ha ha Nice guitar Bruce & Al...
Mike_C Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Very Cool understated and elegant plus the filtertrons rock
bruce919 Posted March 21, 2006 Author Posted March 21, 2006 I love this guitar. The TV Jones Powertron are the $hit , sound better then most PAF type pickups do. The neck on this thing is perfect. A full tone report in a few weeks. Too many things goin on right now.
John E Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 What kinda music do you play? Are the powertrons basically for that Malcolm Young sound er what?
bruce919 Posted March 21, 2006 Author Posted March 21, 2006 Are the powertrons basically for that Malcolm Young sound er what? Actually I got the Idea from Rick Nielson He was playing Malcolm Young model Gretsch. I married the together & came up with this guitar. I will bring it up to the Midwest Jam next month.
