ridiculous description, but that seems like a great deal just the same.

The buyer definitely deserved the deal if he managed to make it to the end of that drivel.

The patheticness of a (presumably) grown man continuing to be fascinated with comic book superheroes aside, there's this:

"This is for the budget minded guitarist/super hero that wants the Les Paul tone without the Les Paul price."

They spelled "Epiphone" wrong on the headstock, then.

I never really felt that this family of guitar had the "Les Paul" tone to begin with. I always felt like my Hamers were kind of right between an LP and an SG in terms of tone and feel.  The neck joint and body thickness is closer to an SG.  I guess they're closer to an LP Special DC or Jr than any other Gibson.

Blahblahblahblahblahblah.

STFU already.

Yeah talk about a long winded description much of which has nothing to do with the guitar.

And any tonal differences between the two are utterly imperceptible to almost everyone, especially the "budget-minded" guitarist.

Perhaps.  I know as well as anybody (and I preach it frequently) that 90% of what we "hear" we do so with our eyes.  We're conditioned to think certain things sound a certain way, but even knowing this, I always felt like SGs had a lot less low end than LPs, which gives them more of a mid-focused sound.  Totally inaudible in a mix because any good mix is going to take the lows out of the guitar anyway, but for doofuses like me that play at home at clock-radio volumes, those differences seem to be quite audible.  Whether they're real or imagined on my part is hard to say because I don't have an LP and a Hamer/SG with the same pickups to really compare, but until I do, that's what I'm going with. 😂

That's actually a really cool guitar at a very decent price... I'm predicting that this will sell soon, and it probably would have sold already if not for the nonsensical  ramblings of a frik'n lunatic… I'm almost half tempted to buy it myself however,  I'm not confident of the outcome and I need another guitar like I need another Bat utility belt hanging in my closet

I wonder 1. How come it is so cheap (where is the trick) and 2. If it its legit why is it still for sale ??

Did you read the description?🤣

Yea I mean I did not quite understand it all maybe thats why 😂. But besides the questionable description (and non original pickups) the guitar did seem to ge a good deal!

It reads like the seller was trying to channel the Ghost of Stan Jay (Mandolin Bros)...but even Stan Jay knew when to quit with the 'stories' and sales prattle, he used to have a guitar shop to run, too.  <_<

Grinning Elk Music.  This is the typical kind of rambling listing seen from them on Reverb and on their website as well.  Seems to be done for their own entertainment.

Admiring and being inspired by musicians is at least rooted in reality and not fantasy land. News flash: a Batman or a Spider-man have never walked the Earth.

Everybody has their hobby man.  Crapping on somebody else's interests isn't cool.  One time I saw somebody all decked out in Star Wars stuff from head to toe and made a comment, and my buddy turned and reminded me that I was wearing a Chevy hat, a Camaro shirt and probably had bowtie underwear on.  We all like what we like.
