Brooks Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 BLACK SABBATH - Born Again Album Artist Clears Up DEPECHE MODE Controversy - BraveWords
crunchee Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 So, anybody gonna plan to do a cover of Black Sabbath's 'Stonehenge' for their gig list?
RobB Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 I remember laughing my ass off when I bought that LP! “Hilarious”, I thought. I was hoping that somebody in the band came up with that concept. As far as the album? At least half of the songs were great. It was hampered by very murky production, it sounded rushed. I think Iommi used Boogies on this record, so maybe he was still finding his way with them? I saw them on this tour and they totally ripped. I much preferred Gillian’s treatment of Sabbath’s back catalog over Dio or that Gallagher-looking dude, no lie.

Brooks Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Yeah the Born Again tour was tremendous! The album was not that great, but Zero The Hero was a standout.

Disturber Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 I gave the Born Again album a spin last summer in the car. I just thought: whatta load of crap. Not many good songs on that album. And the overall sound and production is terrible.
alantig Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 I love the album - the production, not so much. There was a remaster that made it a little better, but honestly not a ton. There was an "unmixed" version floating around for a while w/what were essentially working versions of the songs. Better sound, for sure.
