RIP Rockola

Got a text from JackC last night, Steve Meacham (Rockola) has passed. I spoke w/ Steve last year, he was having a hard time but was trying to get his life together. Years back when I was traveling w/ a sales job, I stayed w/ Steve at least once (stayed at Jacks too). Steve and JackC came out and saw my old band in Salisbury NC, & the three of us also went to see Kings X in Charlotte at least once. He was a sweet guy and will be missed.

Man - Jack just let me know about this.  Very sorry to hear.  Steve was a solid guy and although I only met him once, we chatted a fair amount over messenger.  Damn…

I'm sorry to hear this news.  I never had a chance to meet him, but I remember Rockola's presence here. Our online universe is smaller today.  I'm glad there are stories of HFC members meeting him.  That's the best part of this online community, the chance to hang out with our fellow guitar geeks.  RIP.

Just saw this. I didn't know Rockola (Steve) outside of the HFC, but it feels kind of like when someone at the factory where you work passes away. You knew them and there were some interactions, but now it sucks that they have gone. RIP.

I don’t read this section enough and I see I have been remiss in offering condolences. Sad to read of member’s passing. That clock ticks no matter what. Rest well Rockola.
