alantig Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Suffered a cardiac event on the Outlaw Country Cruise. RIP, sir.
crunchee Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 RIP. I just recently found his interview with Modern Drunkard Magazine (yes, the magazine exists): Drunkard of the Issue #55: Mojo Nixon | Modern Drunkard Magazine Who could forget this deathless song?
Steve Haynie Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 I really dug Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper 35 years ago.
JES1680 Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Tis a sad day. RIP Mr. Nixon You Can't Kill Me
jer_vic Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Saw him and Skid Roper a couple of times back in the mid/late '80s. Massively entertaining. RIP, sir.
svl Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 He died on a cruise ship after a performance, heart attack, only 66. Man lived it, baby.
jwhitcomb3 Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Back in 1986-7 I was music director of my college radio station, and got to meet some cool people. Pat, the station GM, and I got to talk with Mojo Nixon backstage at a show. Pat was talking to Mojo about his song "I hate banks," and asked if he'd sign his bank slip. Mojo grabbed it, shoved it down the back of his pants, then presented it to Pat, asking, "Did I get any stuff on it?" Indeed, he had.

Welp, if you can’t rely on your catalog, might as well utilize your, “scatalog.”
tommy p Posted February 10, 2024 Posted February 10, 2024 If you don't got Mojo Nixon, then your store could use some fixin'.
DaveL Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 Damn, 66... cool guy. Used to play his album when I was a clerk at an indie record store. Then the boss would leave and we'd put on W.A.S.P. lol
hamerican gigolo Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 I agree with MNs sentiment about Frey & Henley. Too bad it didn't come to fruition... R.I.P. 😞
