  5. If you were an HFC supporter you could see my, "Cocks," post in the Outer Circle. It's exactly what you think it is.

  10. There are not a lot of people left in the public eye that stir much southern pride in me these days, but she was damn sure one of them. Sad to see her go, but I hope I manage a 1/10th of the positive things she did for people. Pretty inspiring life for anyone who knew her beyond the boobs and hair, and even that image was brilliant.
  11. The Gear Page told me the account is "flagged" and they are "verifying authenticity" of the post and member. F' that guy.
  12. Yeah, no. I liked their first album. Well, I liked a couple of songs off their first album - Darkest Days, Save Yourself, Wasted. But "greatest" should never be used in describing them. Not even close. Regardless of how hot you find the singer to be.
  13. It was me. A few dings but seems to be in good shape. Will try to post NHD thread when I get a chance.
  14. I think you're getting a little too comfortable sharing in this group 🤣
  15. There were several interesting guitars in the museum at Dollywood when we visited sometime in the '90s, including an original all-chrome Veleno
  16. Wow, this one really makes me sad. Like her music or not, Dolly wrote a lot of great songs and when you heard a song of hers, you knew it was her. And she did so much for others when she didn't have to. I'm sure she did plenty that no one ever heard about.
  17. Could it be related to the foam looking thingy on the Green Meanie? I always took that to be him micro adjusting his hand position (height) relative the strings. Could have just been a more complaint surface.
  18. A lot of bass players will have their thumb look like that.
  19. When wildfires were taking a toll on Eastern Tennessee, Dolly donated a million dollars or two to help people in that area. When Hurricane Helene came along in 2024 she donated a million or two out of her own pocket to help people again.
  20. The problem we the (West TN) rednecks had with R/C was the concert was marketed to us as absolutely the second coming of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The concert announcement (summer of 1980) was the R/C Band would be playing the North Hall Auditorium (Memphis) - that's what the announcement said, but 100% of the music being played in the ad was L/S - and by that, I mean there was not a single note of an R/C Band song in the ad. So, 4,000 rednecks show up expecting Lynyrd Skynyrd (and the LS catalog), but what they got was R/C and (perish the thought) a woman lead singer. 😲 "There must be some mistake! The opening song must be some sort of ruse." Then there was the second song. And a third. "Wait? Where's the LS?" As the concert went on the crowd became more and more agitated and started yelling out names of Skynyrd songs and then Rossington got in a fight with some people on the front row (but continued to play quite adeptly). After the complete set the place went dark and a spot popped up on a single mic stand with a Van Zant hat on top and they played an instrumental version of Freebird as an encore. Angry as the crowd was, they absolutely killed it and everyone knew it. In retrospect, R/S was a killer band, however, the crowd felt duped that night. After reading all the commentary about how the band was trying to distance itself from LS, I lay all the perceived bait-and-switch on the promoter. It was just a bad situation all around.
  21. What's the nasty mummy tape looking stuff between the grip cutout and bridge? eeeuuuw!
  22. Damn...what's with the prices? How long I was in a coma?
  23. TDC... RIP Dolly. She always had a wholesome air about her.
  24. I know she just lost her husband last year and just started declining after that... just goes to show you the strength of depression 😢
