It's not a matter of ignorance, I know exactly what they mean... Like diablo175 noted, people were using them interchangeably for a period of time, to the point that I never knew what I was walking in to when I opened a "IBS" thread. Pretty simple.

I agree with his assessment that in the 'passion space' (I take that to mean non-essentials) it works better to have someone who shares the passion. His persistent high talking, however, made his answers incredibly annoying.* I haven't been in a GC in years, but I visited the Louisville KY GC last month. They've a ways to go implementing his ideas. I'm no nuclear engineer, but past swipes at vertical integration haven't worked out well. GC and others have tried their hand at manufacturing (or contracted manufacturing) their own product lines and I am not aware of a single instance of success. It diverts resources and attention. Do what you do. [/opinion] *TIME MACHINE ASSIGNMENT #2: seek out and eliminate the originator of high talking (assignment #1, of course, is to seek out and eliminate the person(s) who decided the means of interfacing with a computer would be through a typewriter analog - good grief what an epic mistake)

BTW the auction has some other interesting gear with prices all over the place. No idea how shipping (to Canada or US or elsewhere) would work. And there is a 22% buyers' premium I think. In fairness to @DaveH I've seen IBS and TDC used interchangeably on here. Yes, sometimes it was posted as IBS because the person was not dead but... well, in bad shape. However, in the time it took to post and or to be read, that condition changed to TDC. Cornfusion is certainly understandable.

I thought our last couple CT shows were about 90 minutes, but I'd have to look back and see if I made a note about it.
