  4. Sounds like a good option. FWIW, I have used Audioengine systems and they seem to do a very good job at either desktop or larger room sound at a very fair price.
  5. Acoustic guitar players rarely bend strings. SRV was trying to do the equivalent of bending up two tones on an acoustic. It was a lot of work that few people would ever notice.
  6. Sadly, Tried them once..speakers did not fit in the car and all the connectors were wrong. Sent it all back. a lot of work taking the door apart for nothing! arniez
  7. Boy, I'd hate to try bending those! 😂
  8. Yeah...I wonder why it was dismantled??
  9. Yup, that was his... There's no blade switch... sacrilege, that the guy separated and is selling the body 😳
  10. Yo Jim!! Is this one of yours from the past??
  11. Yep. I've used them many times for their install kits and instructions for your particular car. I never had any problems with them.
  12. Back when the interwebs first got going I signed up for a Crutchfield web account. After I got signed in I was checking my account settings and happened to click on "Orders." My first order, a set of door speakers for my 1991 Mazda B2200 LE-5 I bought (by telephone, mind you) years earlier in 1994 was listed! I've bought tons of stuff from Crutchfield and have never been disappointed. I still have extra speaker cable in my attic (the rest of it is in the walls) ordered from them when I built our house back in 1997. I bought cable and junction boxes and it all came with labels and a host of other instructions / tips.

  14. Nice guitar. I love my prototype, not the same but similar
  15. Do I still have a chance to get the boots????.......
  16. Yep, the whole SRV-thing was so laughable. Hearing/reading about guitarists using .012-13s in standard tuning. "I like the guitar to fight me a little." WhyTF would you want THAT? I've no interest in my guitars making me their pegboy.
  17. just, pre acknowleabement. I didn't watch the video. based on the title... This assumes that I would make progress. As they say assume and make an ass out of U and ME Chasing gear is fun. Chasing sounds is fun. Chasing improvement in recordings is fun. That is why I do any of this anymore. Until I was 23 or 24 it was to make it big as a rock star... Then it was to have fun as a musician and recording nut. Definitely did not become rock star. but Have fun using this stuff over the last 50 years. HELL YEA! Now I will go and watch the video while my latest stupid video for my friends renders....
  18. Did that guitar, by any chance, come from Florida? Space Coast area? If not, there's another one. I'm lying in wait.
  19. I temember the grenn black ckeckered shoes you had. So I guess these are next? ☺️
  20. And as for speakers to accompany this amp cuz He wouldn’t leave us hanging either. https://philharmonicaudio.com/products/true-mini i have a set of these also
  21. Thanks--I used to love Crutchfield back in the day!
  22. My thing is to sound good on the crappiest gear. That hasn't worked, either.
  23. I dug these out got another member… The promo is way out of date… Interested in trade offers… there can’t be many of these original 1985 items out there…
  24. In keeping with the spirit if not the law of JohnnyB, reporting here a nice deal on audio equipment. Streaming amp with WiFi, Bluetooth and Internet access. 60Wpc at 8ohms, 120Wpc at 4ohms. RoomEQ using your phone mic, lots of tweaks inside for the DAC. 10 band or Parametric EQ. LFE software control for subwoofers. Remote control. I have one as a desktop system. Ask any questions. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_399WAMPPRO/WiiM-Amp-Pro.html
  25. I sold off all but one of my numerous Cali LE's and bastard Calis years ago, but couldn't pass up a chance to have one last fling on another Elite Limited Edition. One of the HFC's own was selling his in the UK and my wife bought it as a b-day gift for me. It's a bit knackered, likely ridden hard and put away wet but with a decent set up, a little cleaning, some new strings, and Schaller bridge, she'll be good to go.
  26. I hope this one is different enough to avoid being sued by Fender.....
