  1. YOU BET!!! Ugly women have no place here, really!
  2. Someone save me from that Vector, PLEASE!!!
  3. I already know we are all Strat guys at the very end, so that Daytona will be THE one... Congrats!
  4. Awesome! I'm jealous, I live in Canada, but on the other end of the country. Pretty expensive to make it out to Vancouver and Calgary where I am, in Ottawa, so I've never made the trip, but I will someday. Have lots of fun while you are there. I think you'll find that Vancouver is a lot more liberal and laid back, whereas Calgary is a little more conservative. Both towns should be a lot of fun. rob ...but next time you should come to Montreal, really.
  5. I'm staying home... in Montreal. Priorities changed --finally not going.
  6. Some time ago I paid 56 bucks for Mercyful Fate's "9", Japanese Edition, just because it contains a quite hard to find bonus track --quite dumb purchase, IMHO, because I already had the USA version of the album. So, what's the highest price you've paid for an album? Why?
  7. Mitch, you already know you're not alone... My first American Hamer was that Vector KK I sold to that guy in South Florida. My next purchase should be a Vector of the newer generation --maybe a Korina, but I'm not sure. However, it won't happen in the immediate future.
  8. Yeah! Actually, I've felt tempted more than once to conclude a deal with Peter on that Vector --and this time is not an exception, to be frank. But always there's something that stops me. In this moment I do have some money, but I don't feel like buying more guitars... It's a weird state of mind, don't you think? Anyway, that Vector is still a killer axe. Quite unique too --there are not too many around like that one, and you bet Peter also takes care of his guitars like no other. So, I hope it will end in caring hands because I'm sure it's a great player --besides being a really good-looking piece of gear too. Good luck with the sale, Peter!
  9. Well Nick, when do we meet for a little jam?
  10. Breathtaking! Not my style, not my kind of features, not the model I usually like, not the color I dig... but man, this guitar is SOOOO FUCKIN' HOT!!!
  11. ...in the hands of a very capable player -- so that doesn't count!
  12. +1 Just to create some confusion now , the statement above is generally true, but my Centaura Slammer Series (made in Korea in the early nineties) can go head-to-head with many USA Hamers with the same features. BTW, has anyone here played the newer Californian Quilt XT's? --I mean the ones which have nothing to do with the "normal" Cali model:
  13. Never got into Night Ranger, but I think I should have included Brad Gillis in my list of influences -- and here's why: http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33335
  14. Air Canada is flying Montreal - Minneapolis and back almost every hour. The current price for the roundtrip is 336 CND. I think am in! Edited to add: I'm now checking for better fares, but man... I want to go so hard!
  15. I wouldn't drive more than 20 hours to Minneapolis. But I'm gonna check plane tickets now... F@&*k I don't wanna miss that one! -- BTW, MSG & UFO stuff is good. And "Little Wing" for playing an extended jam we all, that's just perfect!
  16. Hey Yngwie308! You seem to be the full-packed ultimate shredder... There's a lot of REALLY GREAT stuff in your list, dude!
  17. I don't find it ugly -- I actually think it looks great with the square base plate. BTW, I've felt myself tempted to buy one, just because I find it cool.
  18. Ah! I haven't listened to anything from Impellitteri for a very looooong time. The sole album I have from him is the first one --was it "Stand in Line" its title? Anyway, I love Graham Bonnet's voice and style. Can you please recommend me something newer from Impellitteri? I should have also mentioned that. I've learned a lot from the players I've played with -- for example, Nick here got me into Randy Rhoads not so long ago.
  19. Brian May is my biggest inspiration ever. Him (see above), Marty Friedman, George Lynch and Jeff Waters (Annihilator) are certainly my main influences. Lately I've been into Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth a lot, and I think it also shows...
  20. Gosh! I love that one! THANKS!
  21. Have a listen to Force Of Evil. Very dark, with powerful vocals, great thrashy riffs and lots of good solos. Those are Mercyful Fate members with a new vocalist -- the guy has nothing to do with King Diamond. The second album, Black Empire, is killer. You might also want to listen to Crimson Glory. The Astronomica album (1999) is with another singer than Midnight, but it's very heavy and you'll love it if you like Judas Priest.
  22. No anniversary pointy things?
  23. Just happened to me not so many days ago. I was working on this instrumental piece and came with this cool chord progression for the chorus... I recorded the rhythm guitar parts over a basic drums track and was happy as hell because the riffs were very catchy and the chord progression meant something... when suddenly I caught myself humming a UFO song over "my" music.
  24. +1 on Nevermore. Great thrash-like riffs, quite good vocals and a lot of shredding (if you are into that).
