  1. Well, I could use the belly cut.....
  2. Dammit Mike - THIS IS FUN!! FUN I TELL YA! Plus its got that cool sparkly finish.
  3. Holes schmoles - what could go wrong?? I always thought the string-thru-body design was part of the Tele sound. Like the springs on a Strat trem. But if those Jim guys (whoever they are) use top-loaders well then maybe I'll give it a try. Plus it would save me a bunch of dickin' around....
  4. Yeah, it probably wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion.
  5. Jealous. That made me laugh out loud.
  6. My new (Squier) Telecaster's bridge doesn't anchor the strings through the body. Oops.... but I can fix that. What bridge would you recommend?
  7. aknapp came thru with a nice set of Schallers. Chrome, even. Thanks, Al!
  8. ^^^ At least the toggle switch is in the right spot.
  9. Jenny's gotta be just about wore out by now.
  10. There's a hole and I have a hammer. One-size-fits-all. Thanks, Muse. I'll let you know.
  11. PM returned... Hold up, Travis. I may have it covered. Thanks, though!
  12. I bought it knowing the neck would probably be the first thing to go. It's on the small side with the typical small-ish frets. The tuners don't seem to be too bad and it doesn't seem unusually heavy. If I can get the bow out of it and some moisture into it, it will go on another Squier (currently has a busted truss rod) and probably get donated. I had a Daytona neck and an AllParts neck collecting dust here faaaar too long , and had no straight-up Tele-type guitar. So - for now - it's sportin' the AllParts, which is my favorite bolt-on and was a perfectly snug fit. It sits a tick over 7 pounds, but I still need some decent tuners.....and maybe/probably pickups.....and a bridge......and.... It's a regular merry-go-round here.
  13. It's awesome! Want it? It was off within the first half hour of getting here.
  14. Looking for 6-on-a-side tuners. Not particular what brand but should be decent quality. Thanks.
  15. That's really similar to the Boss Katana, which is 25 lbs of Swiss army knife. I'd like to hear those two side-by-side.
  16. Yep, sticking with the Squier. I like the original PRS shape (but the neck heel? WTF?? Looks like they forgot to finish it). This one looks more like Nate's potatoes.
  17. Not nearly as cool as the one on its way to me:
  18. It's actually a 351, but you were reeeeally close. 451 = four strings, 5 brain cells, one bass player.
