  1. **Thunk** Everything right with the world in those 2 pictures. Wow.
  2. Given the amount of rust, the insides have to smell pretty nasty. I sure wouldn't put my 'vintage 1980s Hamer' in it. That's about $490 too much, given the condition.
  3. We don't need schools, instruments or talent. AI will take care of all of that.
  4. Ooooh, singer-songwriter drama! Gonna google THIS! Jeez, the Barf Brooks thing is a godawful POS. And pretty blatant.
  5. In a search for a cheap Telecaster, I bought a Firefly Thinline that turned out to be really well done - and under $200! Sold it when the T51 arrived: Because it was so good, and being a big fan of the BillyBo, when they came out with the Solstice I had to give it a go: Since I have no green guitars (also comes in black, vintage white, and red), well..... it arrives Friday. If it's anywhere near as good as the Tele, it'll be alright. And right around $280 to the door. https://guitarsgarden.com/collections/ffse
  6. Possibly the first Sustain Block Junior (2005)? Inspired by a 1958 3/4-size Gibson from 25 years prior. Light, resonant, and rips!
  7. Don't you just hate kids nowadays?
  8. C'mon! Don't leave us hanging!
  9. https://apnews.com/article/todd-snider-dies-1327dee203d2e50af5bd051fea8780ae Yep, the 'Beer Run' guy. Saw him by accident (we didn't know he was opening for John Prine) and loved it. One of the most engaging performers I've ever seen. R.I.P., Mr. Snider.
  10. Anybody here use one? Pros and cons?
  11. Remember when the MIK versions were $300-$400 and that was too much?
  12. You said what everyone was thinking. Thank you.
  13. Nice! If it had been there Tuesday morning my wife would be leaving tomorrow.
  14. They were in heavy rotation here a few years back. How they blend all them notes is incredible.
  15. It had 2 mini toggles when I got it - 1 looked stock (not sure if it was), the other kinda jammed in along side it. My pea brain couldn't comprehend it all, as neither functioned in a way that made sense to me. Which is why I was wondering what the stock configuration was. Not sure about a blend control. I mean I get it, but the separate volume on the Fishman should accomplish the same thing, no? If I can't find out how it came from Hamer, I'd go with a stacked pot for the normal pickups, a regular volume control for the Fishman, and no blend/mini switches at all. The cleaner the better. Who from the factory might have such knowledge? Who was their wiring guy? Is there anyone I can ask?
  16. As you know, I picked up what seems to be a fairly rare Nashville(?) T-51F From Dave's: Great little guitar. Everything appeared to be original, except for the added mini toggle, possibly the pots, and the associated nasty wiring. I did a quicky rewire to make it functional from stuff I had laying around (it's not pretty), but now would really like to put it back to the way it came out of the factory. The problem is, I don't know what that is. The Fishman and middle pickup takes it out of the 'normal' Tele realm and I don't know where to even begin looking. Help! ...here we go again....
  17. Good! I woke up with an itchy trigger finger today.....
  18. Yeah - I'm on drugs this morning.....the missing middle pickup threw me.
  19. That's a Californian, no? It seems suspiciously clean for a 40-year-old guitar. All the gold looks new. Most gold plating comes off if you just look at it too hard. The chrome on the pickups look out of place. And the guitars in the background are projects. Too many unknowns. I'd want my own eyeballs on it before shelling out what I'm sure is a fairly large pile of $$$. Beautiful guitar. If it is what he says it is, it would be hard to resist.
  20. That price is becoming more of the ballpark. Might be a little high given the non-original parts, but we're almost to the '$1350 is the new $350' point.
