Well Ricky and I got it figured out and the Daytona landed yesterday. Now we're in the middle of the Christmas shipping crush, where bazillions of boxes are being tossed, mangled and smashed, yet this guitar arrived in 3 days (TX to WI) in a box that looked like Ricky drove it here himself and gently placed it on my front stoop - not so much as a scuff or dented corner. I've honestly never seen anything like it. Thank you, UPS. The guitar itself, on the other hand......Just kidding. The guitar is far nicer than he said and was even still in tune! Sure, it has a couple doinks, but that's what happens when you USE A GUITAR! Lightweight (for a Daytona) and the neck feels good. So today it gets new strings and a polish and we're good to go. But wait - there's more! Besides a cool guitar and 50,000 bags packed in the box (I thought only bubs did that ), there were some extras. Inside the OHSC (w/ keys, no less), was the trem arm. WooHoo!! Next to that was a checkerboard strap w/ Straplocks(!) AND AN MXR PHASE 90!!! Holy shit it's the motherload! But what really took it over the top was...... the pink Hohner Kazoo. My wife looks down and the very first thing she said was "Wow! There's a kazoo!" She couldn't have given 2 shits about the guitar . I am once again blown away by the people on this board. ALWAYS going above and beyond. Thanks again, Ricky! I hope you and yours have a great Christmas!

Been a strange year. Got this: Cool pedal. Still learning.... Got this Firefly Solstice (and the 2 Hamers): And then there's this pile of amps: Blackstar Fly, Pignose, Crate VC508, SuperChamp XD and a Pignose G60VR. Long story: Tony, our harp player, songwriter and all-around great guy, left the building. His kids were putting most of his things on an estate sale. His daughter calls and says we should come and get whatever band/music stuff we wanted. He had PILES of stuff. I had sold him this SuperChamp some years earlier and he used it for everything, so getting it back has some meaning. The small Pignose had a great story of him just cussing it out when he couldn't get it to work right. God that was funny. Makes me laugh just seeing it. I'll never forget it. The battery-powered Blackstar was just something he messed with. He was always messing with something. He left a stack of 'projects'. The big Pignose and the Crate went unclaimed by the other band guys so I grabbed them, figuring I could donate them to the school. Turns out the Crate is a 5-watt tube amp and just a little ripper! The big Pignose is a 60-watt tube face melter. Holy hell that thing gets loud! I thought they were both solid state! So, a little strange this year. NOT the way I'd choose to get amplifiers but I'm sure he's happy I got them. He was funny like that. ETA: Jeez, then I left out the Fender Deluxe Reverb Tone Master and the Vox AC10 (from Atomicwash). Both great amps!

By this crowd, there should be piles of that stuff just laying around.

That's never worked for me. It's more like 3 or 4 in, 1 or 2 out.

That is one impressive stack of lumber. Ho. Lee. She. It. The Triple Threat is a stunner and I'm glad it's gone. It's the last Hamer on my bucket list, and my bucket is never quite full enough when one pops up.

Dammit, Ricky... I don't need it... I'm not even a Strat guy...yet here we are. The fat neck did me in. Merry Christmas to me - I'll take it if it's still available. Another PM sent....
