'Twas a great day for...........me!
hamerhead replied to The Shark's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Mr Shark - don't leave. There have been more than a few misunderstandings that have been (or could have been) cured simply by reaching out. With everybody being so willing or eager to go to war over piddlyass 1st World problems, shit tends to get blown up quickly over virtually nothing. I miss Greg's posts, and others who have left here over some real or imagined slight. It's the fucking internet, where it's pretty easy to take the wrong message from a typed sentence. Before thinking the worst of someone, cut them a break. We all have shit we're dealing with. MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I love you guys! -

He always had cool stuff to show, whether it was great guitars or great mod/repair work. I really looked forward to seeing his latest creations. -
Gene Simmons Band Announces 2025 Tour
hamerhead replied to velorush's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
For whatever reason (whether they've lost the ability, or never had it), it's happening more and more. Check out this guy's YouTube channel. It's hilarious in a sad way: https://www.youtube.com/@wingsofpegasus Phil's credibility comes from being an exceptionally talented vocalist. Watch some his videos. He's just stating facts. Imagine Taylor Swift raking in $4 BILLION on a tour where she may never sing live, in front of a band that may never play live. It's obscene. Same with The Eagles. Or Metallica. Or ....fill in the blank....So many 'augment' their performances it's just.....dishonest. Yeah, there are still great bands out there actually playing their stuff. THOSE are the ones I'd buy tickets for. But stadium and larger venue acts? No thanks. Too much fuckery going on. Good rant though, right? -

Gene Simmons Band Announces 2025 Tour

Debby Downer time - paying that kind of money to see an 'artist' likely lip syncing to a backing track just baffles the shit outta me. It's surprising how many are doing it now, and to what extent. There should be a disclaimer or proof-of-performance with every ticket sold, like the old Queen albums 'no synthesizers used' bit. This pretend theater crap annoys me to no end. -

I have a $15 flip phone, so I can't really help you there. -

I wish I could help you with the guitar, but there are computer places that can recover dead hard drive files. It's a phobia of mine, so I have half a dozen external drives to store duplicates of everything. -
Little surprised 'Jamie's Cryin' didn't make the list before now.

FS Duotone practice amp

Not sure of the exact measurements but they are the typical Hamer-size necks, like a Studio or Artist. My favorite is the 3-holer. At the proper volume/gain, you can change the pitch of feedback depending on which hole you cover with your hand. That was a pretty cool discovery. Had 4 over the years and dammit I really need to get another one .....again.....

'Levee' is my first choice (volume always goes waaaay up), but Bonham's 'Rock and Roll' intro - sounds simple but nobody else can nail it.

Led Zepplin ll like you've never heard it!

I sent this to a former co-worker who is nuts for all thing LZ - has all the bootlegs and videos and anything else they ever did, even as solo artists - thinking he would at least give it a 'WTF?'. He loved it. -

Kinda miss the spaceout/freakout section of Whole Lotta Love, too. ETA: Living Loving Maid made me laugh out loud. -
Hope you guys are OK in California.

Why can't all drummers be that quiet. Well done! Great guitar work and your vocalists are really good together.

Really great price. And 3-holers are the best. Too bad it has that gold top. -
I want to combine the left and right channels of my stereo (playback amp) into a single speaker (for mono mixing band recordings). How do you do that without f***ing something up? Thanks!

That's a good deal! I haven't found any 'must have' buys yet. I think my wife and I are each buying ourselves a gift, wrapping it, and giving it to the other. That way we're both not only surprised, but we get what we want.- 1 reply
