  1. First: know what key your damn singer is changing it to. Then: Practicepracticepractice. Reps ingrain the tune while building gig strength/stamina into your hands. It's a lot easier if you're playing it straight off the record - doing the same arrangement and the same key. If not, Audacity can change keys without changing the tempo (although going too far will sound a little weird). But then when your drummer needs to change the arrangement for no reason at all, a recorder of some sort will be a big help. Not only to re-learn the arrangement, but also to keep track of your progress. Then: Practicepracticepractice. And.....what are these 'charts' of which you speak??
  2. Currently $209.91 for this one: https://guitarsgarden.com/collections/ffse/products/new-firefly-fftl-classic-model-electric-guitar-yellow-color

  4. Score! Another HFC deal where it shows up in the mail before $$ changes hands. I love this place. Thanks, Geoff!
  5. Almost went Vintage White to match my LP, but that damn green just seemed to fit better. Maybe if I unload something else...
  6. ...and less delusional than the current seller, too.
  7. Dave! Have a good one today! ...and all the rest of you guys, too.
  8. God what I wouldn't have given for some of those! My right ear is AFU for that reason.
  9. Wow. What a cool find! Still more pictures, please.
  10. If it had a Gretsch Electromatic label on it, it would cost $700-$800 and still be a decent deal. I'm really kinda blown away by this one.
  11. There's Only One Way to Rock Cliffs of Dover (my ringtone) La Grange My Head's in Mississippi 2112 Mississippi Queen (it's the cowbell, really) Tie Your Mother Down I Know a Little In a Daydream Clock Strikes Ten Lonely is the Night Don't Stop to Watch the Wheels ....Unfair request. There's too many. Soooo many song intros that'll make you reach over and crank the volume. Can't even scratch the surface here. The list is endless.
  12. It's a 'tribute' band, right? Well then you don't want/need a USA Standard anyway. A copy is perfectly fitting.
  13. Waaaaay ahead of ya, Mike. Well, maybe not waaaay......
  14. I did. It's not a PC guy, either.
  15. PC. I already gave up. I'm sure somebody could do it, but that somebody isn't me. Close enough.
  16. I'm using 2 monitors from different brands and the colors between them isn't even close. Is there a trick to dialing them in? They don't have to be perfect, but closer would be nice. Thanks!
  17. Hey Cam, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but are you Andre the Giant-size?
  18. Rufus T has arrived! My 'first 10 minutes' evaluation: Holy shit. How do they do that? Straight off the truck, pulled it out of the box, tuned it up, plugged it in and damn - nice snap from the bridge and Clapton-esque wool from the neck, from strings that sound 40-years-old. Raised the treble-side action a hair. The D-shaped neck felt good, and has enough heft (but not too much) to be comfy. Stays in tune (big plus). All switches, knobs, etc function properly. No glaring cosmetic issues. And it just feels solid, without being heavy. I thought the Tele was really good. This is definitely a notch above that. And it looks cool. The Metallic Green looks really good in person, especially with the gold (I know, I know. I'll put a big 'G' on it) and I'm not a big fan of the color green. A string change and set-up is next. Neck pickup goes from woolly to woollier so that might change, who knows. But the initial hit says it's a keeper
  19. I'm no Euell Gibbons but it looks like mahogany to me.
