Phantom do er upper.
Steve Haynie replied to RichRS6's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
That one better turn out to be a great player when hardware is added. If it really turns out good, then someone can get it refinished. Before having a couple of instruments refinished there was a need to know if they were worth keeping. One was done in the mid 90's and it is still with me. The other was done last year and will be mine for a long time. -
So, are we pre-ordering to guarantee signed copies or is there another process getting worked out?

Today there were a couple of e-mails letting me know about PM's from a few days ago. Eh.

Your Top 3 Dream Hamers....

You can be old, fat, and bald with an Explorer shaped guitar if you play southern rock. -
Your Top 3 Dream Hamers....
Steve Haynie replied to Ehren4791's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
My Specials, my korina Standard, and my Sunburst that has been my favorite lately. They have all grown on me, so those are the guitars in my head lately. That is a good thing because dream guitars can become real expensive when they become available. -
Anybody want a Dumble Overdrive Special?
Steve Haynie replied to HamerHokie's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
If you want that Santana tone from the song "Smooth" you can get that with a Fender Prosonic. The Prosonic screams 90's tone. -
OK. Sign a promissory note for the cost of a new Hamer for when the line is revived. What are the chances you would ever have to pay off?

Do not apologize. You have a real life. -
When I bought the Concert For Bangladesh album my mother heard Shankar's Indian music playing in my room, and it made her wonder what the heck I was getting into.

He said in the interview I did with him long ago that is on the site that he once wanted to buy part of Hamer. The dress code for employees under Rick Nielsen might have made it hard to recruit employees. -
No More Hamer, Ever
Steve Haynie replied to Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Jol once wrote that it took a year to train someone to build Hamers with the quality that he felt was necessary. Employees can be trained again. Finding people with the drive to do great work might be tough, but not impossible. August Busch died years ago. People keep drinking his beer. -
I would sit on the three million dollars and see what happens when Guitar Center collapses. It might be possible to buy Gibson or Fender for three million. Heck with Hamer.

One for the giggers - backup plan
Steve Haynie replied to carfish7's question in Ask the HFC Experts
Premier Guitar did a Rig Rundown with the Late Night With David Letterman guitar and bass players. Felicia Collins has a Crate Power Block on top of her amp, and she talked about it. At the 23 minute mark she picks it up and refers to it as "single coil" when she should have said "solid state." -
Cheap Trick and Aerosmith last night in KC...

If you ever do come over here to visit the USA you will have friends spread out across the country who can help you find whatever you want. -
Cheap Trick and Aerosmith last night in KC...
Steve Haynie replied to Jakeboy's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
As with Rush, there are so many songs you want to hear, but the band has their own ideas of what they want to play. You still describe the concert as a great show, so missing some of your favorites balanced out with the other songs. What is cool is that you saw Brad jam with Cheap Trick. -
My P-90 Specials became my main players, so the single coil sound seems more familiar to me now. However, a humbuckered guitar has become my current favorite. It all goes through cycles.

Nahhh... By then it will be KISS featuring one member who met one of the original members when his parents took him to a KISS convention 2036.

OK, I get it now. Let me think of something similar... OK. Got something. Those assholes in ZZ Top really need shave those stupid beards, and that silly walk they do is worn out schtick.

Winterland-- that was the Hotter Than Hell show videotaped in black and white, was it not? Peter's makeup was incomplete if that is the video. Yup. That is probably the most intense KISS show on video.
