  1. What if the design of the Peavey T-60 was tweaked just a little?
  2. The guitar designer would have to balance the aesthetic of the headstock shape with the tonal effect of headstock shape. If we are looking for the most bang for the buck there are some features we might not get. How much more wood is used creating the longer headstock shape? Everything that adds cost takes away from the idea of a straightforward working man's guitar. I just need a .
  3. What are we willing to spend here? If you are broke and cannot buy a guitar what would you be able to scrounge by selling off some gear to buy another guitar? At this point in time $1000.00 is where I am stuck. ...Unless a guitar builder wants to trade for outdated recording gear.
  4. Northfield, you described the Hamer Special.
  5. I never participated, but I did not buy a new guitar this year. I won another guitar, but did not spend any money on a new guitar or amp. I think I only got two pedals.
  6. Awww maaaannnn... it's already over.
  7. I purposely stayed away from the big prize after winning last year. Dave, I really like being exposed to new bands that get played on your show. I am going to be checking out Scorpion Child and The Dead Daisies.
  8. The thing is, Ace is set for life with some kind of trust. Someone knew to set him up with one because he lives life like a drunk drives a car.
  9. Beware Of Darkness -- Orthodox
  10. So, there could possibly have been a crack in the truss rod before the extreme cold made the truss rod shrink?
  11. I think the knot is there. The light angle has changed.
  12. Tom with a Hamer!?! Next thing you know, the whole band will reconcile with Bun E!
  13. The oldest Martin that was ever placed in my hands was a 50's OOO-18. Oh, my! The D-18 would be one for everyone to want to try out. Lucky you, Brent!
  14. Link Wray was doing heavy guitar back in the 50's. He was not the greatest player, but if he had Marshall stacks and a fuzz pedal in 1958 you would have had Metallica type music by 1968.
  15. Thank you for posting the Bob Taylor video. Bob made a guitar out of old shipping pallets that impressed people. I trust his judgment and respect his viewpoint.
  16. I keep viewing and viewing. The licks are getting memorized.
  17. If we all sold guitars that just sit in cases and rarely come out we would glut the market with cool guitars. For the record, I want your guitar. I cannot buy another guitar right now.
  18. Do you really want to sell that Blitz? Have you thought about putting it away for a few months and then pulling it out to play it again? You might surprise yourself with that guitar.
  19. Heck, that is worth watching a few times.
  20. Those inlays look like they fit perfectly without any glue to hold them in place.
  21. Are you sure you are qualified to work on guitars?
