  1. Parts is parts. (Stickers detract from Krylon spray over Bondo... seriously)
  2. Laney AOR 30 Combo (Too many "undocumented features" to mention...) (One exception to Dean Markley: The RM 80 was really nice with a tube preamp. NOT part of the Spectra series)
  3. When The World Is Running Down - The Police Space Age Love Song - Flock of Seagulls Where The Streets Have No Name - U2 The Bottom Line - Big Audio Dynamite Regret - New Order
  4. Connells: Stone Cold Yesterday Flock of Seagulls: Space Age Love Song Guided By Voices: Everyone Thinks I’m a Raincloud M83: Kim and Jessie Real Life: Catch Me I’m Falling Replacements: Alex Chilton Ten Ten: One Life The Cure: Push and… dishonorable mentions with tasteful guitar solos: Bryan Adams: Everything I Do Supertramp: Lover Boy (flame away!)
  5. My Bloody Valentine 1991 "Loveless". Another pre-internet case where the "G" word (genius) was getting thrown around. Listened to it again last month and it's basically droney guitars fed thru a pitch shifter. For an entire CD. Whatever... (Sounds like the artwork)
  6. That was great! (super lo-rez images taken during "Still of The Night"....)
  7. 9:30? Been scheduled on my calendar for some time. http://southlandballroom.com/ (Stike: Where to eat? Finches diner closes at 3pm, too many beautiful people of Raleigh dine on Glenwood Ave, the nearby BBQ place can't be a "BBQ joint" since it offers valet parking, and -speaking of "infests Raleigh"- the State Fair really not an option. Maybe your drummer can bring some Stameys BBQ...)
  8. My wife, thinking I catalog everyone who touched a guitar, wanted to know who played the solo during the "Beds" section of the opening ceremony. After some searching found him. The video is from a stationary backstage camera (good quality) but inability to see him from the front makes no difference since his face really doesn't ring a bell anymore... (Skip to the 7:50 mark) PS - Finally figured out what the Queen carries in her purse - an emergency parachute?
  9. Foreward from The Fender Bass: An Illustrated History
  10. Take my hand... but don't touch my hair! My wife & three daughters singing "backup" whenever we hear that schlock!
  11. So glad to see nobody mentioned "Every Breath You Take". Seriously. Sting's solo cover of "Roxanne" from the Secret Policeman's Other Ball: Wow! Now the bassline from "When The World Is Running Down.." will be stuck with me for the rest of the day (which is not a bad thing)
  12. I love both of these because they're the same - only different Schecter Saturn (PT) & 1978 Fender Tele
  13. I can never play the drums again, says Phil Collins Read more: http://www.dailymail...l#ixzz1m0cDXaUD Now he can focus on his other stunts such as divorces, "acting", and "songwriting"....

  20. Couldn't get you decent tickets for Rush at Mariner Arena so here's a Radio Shack Battery Club card instead: Happy Birthday!
