  1. Either that or he just gave the most dead-on-balls-accurate answer the internet has ever seen
  2. Sounds like that guitar is meant to stay with you.
  3. Did you know that your posts look very girlie on portable devices?
  4. Antique white SG Standard with the auto-tune thingy was tempting last night at $1049. By the time I woke this morning someone had saved me.
  5. I do tend to look at the R&RHOF as more of an American Music HOF than only R&R in the traditional sense. In terms of the listed bands being game changers, Link Wray, Deep Purple, and Kiss should be at the top of the list. Nirvana will be as well, though I kinda feel the same way about them as Ray Charles felt about Elvis. The Zombies did double the output of other one hit wonders, but I wouldn't say they're HOF material.
  6. Their creating said shift was only the national perception. Locally, that really wasn't the case.
  7. Looks like it's there, just difficult to make out in the glare
  8. I think once you get into the higher end aftermarket accessories you're getting great quality regardless of brand. Callaham, Glendale, and Barden all produce great bridges with enough variety in saddle options that you can get precisely what you're looking for. Babicz makes a pretty drastic departure from the traditional styling to create something JohnnyB provides lots of links and pictures to without much prompting. Personally, I usually go with Marc Rutter. His quality is as high as any of the others, his pricing is comparable, and he's the most local so I can get his parts pretty quick. His hot rodded parts are designed to either address the complaints people have long had with the original tele hardware, or to provide something cool and unique that's more tele-inspired than authentic tele. Everyone should go to his site if for no other reason than to order one of these:
  9. I'll put together a list this weekend of what pieces/parts/projects I've got laying around. There's probably enough that we can work out a sweet deal for your Tundra
  10. They did allow a final "run" when they removed all restrictions and let people submit last-call orders for any variation of anything ever affiliated with the brand.
  11. Locking nut means no sustain block, that would be cool though.
  12. It's more alternating left/right boomers These are tumbling
  13. If you have his daughter place the order it will be done by the weekend
  14. Riot's obscurity allowed my friends and I to say we were them in order to meet Kiss at their hotel. Thanks again to MCChris for loaning me the hat
  15. Fine, let's get it outta the way so we can all move on. Hmmm...it DOES give me an idea for a tattoo
  16. Just because they randomly popped up on my iPod tonight, School of Fish.
  17. Good to see they were finally able to get the proper logos.
  18. As Murkat suggested it could be something as simple as a problem with the magnet. Ever lean the guitar against a speaker cabinet? The magnets from the speakers can take a toll depending on how often and/or how close they get, and eventually can cause "dead" pickups. Magnet swaps are really easy and there are many step by step tutorials online. Before you ship it off somewhere and end up paying for a rewind it may not need, you may want to pull the magnet from the bridge pup and slide it into the neck pup and give it a whirl.
  19. Agreed. Pretty might get ya in the door, but ya gotta do better than average with a little boob jiggle to get the gig. I wouldn't have listened to more than twenty seconds of it played on the radio.
  20. Here's a cell phone snap from a while back. Just found this one too. I think this was the day I got it.
  21. I do love the sound of the Double Ds, but don't play my Tally more because of the volume issue. I had thought I'd eventually get around to putting a humbucker in the bridge. I reckon I'll try the JackAss fix this weekend and see how it sounds. Acoustically, it's by far my favorite Hamer of all I've owned.
