  1. ^ This. Mike has got a lot on his plate, and needs #'s, head count, to crunch #'s to make it work, feasible, profitable. Going to be a while... But, it may be worth it
  2. well done Mitch. you can breath again I hope. well done.
  3. Well, this is Awesome! congrats to Mike, and all making it happen. wonderful news.
  4. That was a nice treat. Ty makes me miss the lil elf what a voice
  5. the 59 does not split very well fwiw (musically pleasing to the ear). JB, maybe, depends on the sum of all parts (guitar) a quick way to see if you like it, with one pickup and it is 4 conductor... (an old Bill Lawrence trick that Bill told, explained to me himself) pickup to be split~ the two coil wires that are soldered together, solder the two to the free outside lug on the tone pot. done. when you have the tone control to 10, the pup will be in single coil mode. roll back the tone to 9ish, back to humbucker mode. simple. easy.
  6. Don't you hate it when the right answer is exactly what you didn't want to hear? It happen so many countless times with new pots while building out guitars at the GCS. Brand new CTS pot, using a knob puller, pop, shaft and knob. So many pots trashed. it happens. the wafer board is pressed on the shaft, shaft end butted. Some nice CTS pots are set ringed on top, like the old gibson stamped CTS pots of the 80's, early 2000. No more retainer rings... saving bucks... easy to trash. So, when replacing a knob, before installing, put a lil smear of chap stick on the pot shaft prior to knob placement.
  7. wont work. It will always be compromised. you will need to replace the pot.
  8. yes. Shit storm weather here since yesterday. Have more incoming... Like that pic... Yup, all cased up and secured, cars backed in, chain saws topped off and ready...
  9. F^CK! Somebody is going to be pissed. I know I would be.
  10. testament. and the last one standing.... in thru the out door.
  11. FUCK. Not the most ideal way to open up the HFC to find this. To the crew, godspeed. If your down this way in Nashville..., LMK.
  12. " oops don't even have a picture, single hum 1982 Black Murkat Special." shame on you!
  13. two different "visions" of guitar from two different era and from two very different guys. Sunburst has that "thang"... Gibson and a tele to perfection. Hard to pin, but man, it is it in spades in the right hands and amp. rawk. don't know about the maonaco, just another LP wannabee as well as other later models.
  14. well, Bob, that was awesome! I called Judy over to see, as She was dancing to the jam in the kitchen, "Hey, it's the pirate 5 that was here last week..." Judy approved good times!
  15. I'm officially calling dibs Brent. . . . . .. yes, what others have stated, you will have to find naked wood. not easy with black Hamers.
  16. your links to pics are broken. super light air korina guitar?
  17. It is here, arrived in one piece today. It is going to need some minor work, But for the most part, left as intended, the Wyldbil way of things I'm on it. Sounds good to me
  18. Depends on what you want. There are many types of distortions, or what is bundled together as distortion(s). Grind, gain, distortion, fuzz, etc. I like many familiar types of mentioned above. A fender toob amp can handle many pedal types in front of it, so, the task is easy for. A Marshall with a tube screamer is bread butter combo right there. since I like many favors, I use a combination of my two channel Uberschall and key pedals to yield many favorite flavors of, and combining the pedals also conjur even more sonic capabilities, except for the rockman (the right) amp and pedal combo in this old man's ways I guess
