BCR Greg Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 USA Custom Shop Washburns are made in Chicago, and some former Hamer staffers are known to do a little woodworking there. I wanted a cool N4, so this is the result..... Even the logo and graphics are gold.... Available......
BTMN Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Beautiful. Can you share a shot of the rear? I have never seen one up close and I would like to see the joint. Thanks.
Devnor Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Killer If I was not completely tapped out, it would be mine
BadJaxx Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 since Greg handed it to me saturday, i can testify that it looks even nicer in person...
serial Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 since Greg handed it to me saturday, i can testify that it looks even nicer in person...Word. And a shot of the neck joint is essential. I'd never played/seen one of these up close, but that neck joint is fantastic for access.
BCR Greg Posted June 18, 2007 Author Posted June 18, 2007 This is a cool design. Total access to the top frets. They even gold plated the bits in the back for me!
BCR Greg Posted June 18, 2007 Author Posted June 18, 2007 (In singsong voice)The price will surprise you....
Rockola Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Sometimes gold h/w clicks. Very cool. I think i'll practice the solor for Carmalie tonight . . . . . . . . NOT! Not even Jack Butler could help me play that with these vienna sausage fingers.
Zoner Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 God I love the way Ash grain looks through that milky white finish. The woodgrain looks almost blue to me, like veins under very pale flesh. I had a Daytona like that with a HUGE neck and crazy birseye neck, but hated the bridge-damn was that thing sexy looking. That looks like a very cool guitar that would make someone very happy. What's the neck profile? Z
silentman Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Great guitars. Even the non-nuno looking model with the non reverse head they made a few years ago was cool. I've always been happy with the washburns I've owned. Non-USA have been pretty good too.
David B Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Trans white is a cool idea for color. I always wondered what that neck heal thing was!
BCR Greg Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 Alright, I was gonna keep it but I am gonna let it go.$1699, brand new in a FLIGHT CASE.
Kramer_nut Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Great guitar and a great price, I have always wanted one but right now it's not in the cards unless I trade a few things.Todd
Submariner85 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I like USA Washburns. Great guitars. Some of their higher end asian stuff is good too. Those Nuno guitars are very cool. That one is a looker for sure.
BCR Greg Posted October 22, 2009 Author Posted October 22, 2009 Awright, this one's been here too long. Call me with trade offers.
danhops Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 God do I wish someone would buy my MM Morse Y2D, Jasckson SLS, or Cali!!! I've been thinking about this guitar since the first time you put pics up here. Not what I was looking for, but I cant deny I'd love to have this!!!
holLoWskull Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 God do I wish someone would buy my MM Morse Y2D, Jasckson SLS, or Cali!!! Not what I was looking for, but I cant deny I'd love to have this!!! sounds like you've got 3 guitars on the block and Greg did say "call me with trade offers". Might be worth seeing if you and Mr. Platzer can strike a deal with one of those 3 and you could own that Washburn?
