LordOfTheThighs Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 No affiliation. Sixx Hamer Bass Legit? If it really was owned by Sixx, it'd be a nice catch.
HamStd Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Looks like the original finish on the bass for what that is worth. On at least two of Nikki's FBIVs the finish on the back of the neck matches the finish on the body (however I am not saying this is Nikki's bass as I have seen other Hamers that were like this too, but typically they just had a solid finish on the back of the neck). The Kahler bass trem could probably use a couple more screws to hold it down. Peter.
Hardrockracer Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I do recall Nikki playing a bass with that finish. I think I also have pics. Since I have not seen another with that paint design it might very well be genuine. I just wonder who has snatched that from Nikki before he could smash it (like so many other basses he had).HRR

I can tell you what page it IS on though-I have the page that starts with the very next guitar-#411902. Bummer!
Jason01 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I swear I remember reading an old Crue article where Nikki mentioned scrawling his name on the back of his bass with a screwdriver or something. I can't remember why but I'm pretty sure he was all fucked up on something when he did it. That bass is cool as hell!
