Jack C Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I really like the look of the Ranger guitar. Wish I was in the market for a new guit.
kenjones Posted July 11, 2005 Author Posted July 11, 2005 Those purple rangers make a very cool set! At one time our whole band bought matching purple suits - no I'm not kidding!
serial Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 I DON'T need another 4 string, I DON'T need another 4 string, I DON'T need another 4 string...That's great looking.
kizanski Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 And I've always wanted an 8 string...Well, HERE'S ONE in your neck o'the woods.
DavidE Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 The purple Ranger duo are still available and I've lowered the price:Ranger Custom Guitar: $700 + shipping Ranger Bass: $500 + shipping Both: $1,100 + shippingHere's the link to more pictures of the guitar: Robin Ranger Custom Are these imports?
kenjones Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 Not imports - both guitars were made in Houston in 1992 and are all-original.Go here to see a longer description: robinlovers.com
tomteriffic Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I love 'em! Gee, Ken, I'd offer you a pre-beat-up red Special just like the one in your avatar only with the miles on it, but, ummmm, you've already got it. If I had the bux (new house, y'know...) I'd be all over these like white on rice.
Guest galejt Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 White on rice. LOL. I had not heard that one. Mostly the other one you hear in my circles.
guitarzandstuff Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 If you ever wanna sell one of them Mosrite shaped Robins, lemme know...
kenjones Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 If you ever wanna sell one of them Mosrite shaped Robins, lemme know... Hmmm... email sent.
BLuesBuster Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Thoseare great guitars, if only they had rosewood fretboards I'd jump on both of them.
kenjones Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 Maple necks are one of the things that make this pair less common. Probably 95% of Rangers from this timeframe were rosewood. The bass also has the distinction of being the only Ranger Bass ever made with a "V" shaped neck (like a 50's Fender Strat).
killertone Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 My brother has two Ranger basses and wants to get yours. I am going to give him your email address. I assume you still have the bass right?
hamertek98 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 If it isn't sold, I'll buy it. The bass that is.
kenjones Posted October 10, 2005 Author Posted October 10, 2005 UPDATE:The Avalon Special & Ranger Bass have been sold. The Ranger Custom guitar is still available.
