tomteriffic Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 That's the Hamer Protozoatype II i think you're on to something. An amoeba paint job would be perfect.
Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I thought this one might inspire a few different emotions around here I might buy it just so I can post it up here for sale every once in while. hehehehehe You're right. It is almost worth it for that!
hamerjunkie Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 You guys are missing the big picture..... there is no buckle rash on it!!
straightblues Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Does anyone doubt wether it is a Hamer USA or not? I think it is one that has just been cut down.
zenmindbeginner Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Here's the breakdown as I see it:Original Schaller tuners, original Hamer Slammer (most likely) pickup in the bridge and a bonafide Sustainblock bridge. The sustainblock bridge = $200-250Hamer Slammer bridge Pickup = $50-150Original Schaller Tuners = $50Unknown PAF style neck pup = $25-75Control Cavity Backplate = $25Hamer pots (if still there) = $20Pot Mounting Plate (hard to find) = $50Hmm... low end total for parts = $425 and $625 is for the high end estimate. That's not even counting the neck if it was removed properly by destroying the body...It's a fucking parts dream for $275.
chap Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Al Bundy is my mentor!Everything can eventually be related back to Married with Children. Remember the "No Ma'am" club? LOL
specialk Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I like the paint job. The shape of the body sucks.
hamerhead Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 a cool project guitar to bandsaw and add wings, maybe restore its Blitziness or turn it into a Vector. Make detachable wings and have every shape Hamer ever made!

Aceldama Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I thought this one might inspire a few different emotions around here I might buy it just so I can post it up here for sale every once in while. hehehehehe I'm feeling you on that. I'd post it every Halloween and April Fool's: "Custom Hammer designed by Joel Danzig!"
guitarzandstuff Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I'm gonna bail on this one... price will probably hit $400!
DarrenD Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Lol I knew figured this one would go higher than the $350 range. Everyone talked it down saying how ugly it was, but deep down we all know there are some sleepers here waiting to snipe it.
cmatthes Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Definitely not me! I don't need another project, and I think it's already out of the realistic range of "cashing in" on the parts as it is. Too much of a money pit to get back up and running in my opinion, but if somebody really (REALLY)needed the original parts that are left on that hulk, I might possibly see it making sense. Maybe if it had been owned by somebody in the legendary band, "Macabre"...
Pieman Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Okay, the real question is: what hair style is suited to this guitar?
DarrenD Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Okay, the real question is: what hair style is suited to this guitar?I would say a brown mullet. And as for the guitar -- 4 hours left. I say it goes over $400 Hell, I would buy the body. I kind of like the paint job.
guitarzandstuff Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Ended at a fair price. Probably shoulda kept an eye on it.
adgc Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 (Reminds me of the crescent guitar on back cover of The Cars "Panorama") Kawai(?!?) Moonsault
