KeyOfZ Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 My dealer had his better quality camera the day my Artist Custom BirdsEye came in and gave me the shots on CD yesterday. They really show of the complex top and deep subtle finish Right off the truck: Ultimate case: Subtle finish: Binding: Sunlight sets it off: I can't stress enough how insanely cool the Sustain Block is. The tone is just so musical, it rings deep and full. Anyone on the fence about getting the Sustain Block option...go for it.
RobB Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Never sick of your bitchen, one-off AC. More like that! Just please try to find a way to reduce the size of your pictures so it doesn't take so friggin' long to load! I've got a slammin' DSL line, and your post loaded like it was an old dial-up connection. Photoshop, ArcSoft and a few other programs allow you to reduce the number of pixels for the web, but keep the pix big. I'm a Mac guy, so I'm sure other brothers can give you more info. THAT out of the way, what an incredible guitar! You must be very proud. I know Dave is a good guy, and if I ever get the itch to order a new Hamer (ain't gonna happen! ), I'm sure he'll be my Bay Area go-to guy.
hamertek98 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Great lookin' fiddle. Make it a little smaller. The pic's do kick ass. Give me your E-mail so I can post shit too! I'm too stoooooopid to do it here on the board. Love everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
serial Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Holy crap dude, that looks great! I dig the sustain block on the Artist w/the bound F hole no less! Well done, sir! Thanks for sharing those pics-I for one ain't sick of 'em.
marcnorth Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 That is one nice looking guitar. Enjoy!!!
silentman Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Hamer wasn't thinking straight when they discontinued the sustain block. Love it!
cmatthes Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Thanks (again!)!That one is a stunner. Say "hi" to Dave for me next time you see him.
bobbymack Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Very nice!! Love the case, too! +1. Where can I get one of those cases?
hikarateboy Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Hamer wasn't thinking straight when they discontinued the sustain block. Love it! I concur completely. Its my favorite bridge of all time hands down and 2nd place isnt even close. Speaking of second place if I were really keeping some sort of list on bridges I am starting to think that the one piece wrap around I have on my eclipse would be it. It's hard to explain the difference other than to say its a looser feel but its really more than that. It's like the guitar is alive but it really isnt cause that would be freaky.
serial Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 My Electraglide II is in one of those cases. Very cool.
straightblues Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 You need to learn about www.photobucket.com. They will host your pictures. There is a tutorial on the site. It is easy to use.Great Guitar. The case is just as cool as the guitar. What is it? Who makes it and where do I sign up? I need one of those cases!!!!!!!!
KeyOfZ Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 Sorry about the large/slow pictures....most of the slowness is because my ISP = A$$ (Their webhosting sux too) I ordered an "Upgrade brown leather style case" Hamer provided what I got. I love the case as well. I believe it's the same case that comes with the Artist Ultimates?
Nuclear Wessel Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 There's never too many pics of guitars like that. Very sweet.
Caddie Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Son of a Buck......you rat bastard you !!! Just when I thought my G.A.S. had been cured you go and post THIS porn ! Viola (pronounced "wah lah") , intense, virulent G.A.S. begins its '05 Reunion Tour. Now where did I leave that spec for that custom Monaco III that I wanted? Hmmm..........NoonanPS - That sounds like it might be a good band name Virulent GAS
hamerhead Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Whoa! God that's nice. More pics is good.
Abaco Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Very pretty guitar there KeyofZ. Is that the dealer in downtown Livermore? Nice guy there, and the only enthusiastic Hamer dealer for miles and miles in these parts. Hey, I hope we can get together and jam sometime.
KeyOfZ Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 Caddie - Tell me about it bro, between ElDuave and BCRGreg I have had major GAS since 14 months ago!All these beautiful guitars flying around really get you going eh? The sick thing is that I am already thinking towards the newer models that are supposed to be coming out next year. GAS is an evil, evil little demon that can only be briefly removed via an exorcism by your friendly neighborhood Hamer dealer.Abaco - Dave is cool guy to deal with, as you said he is really enthusiastic (I think he was almost excited as I was!) I would love to go to an HFC get together of any kind....whether it's a jam session or a Hamer USA guitar play date. Not sure how many Norcal HFCers there are though.
Caddie Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 K-o-Z - I was surprised but when I acquired a '96 Eclipse about mmmmmmm a year & a half ago or so, my GAS disappeared. No explanation why, but no more symptoms.I had been thinking about a custom Monaco III, asked Frank U a few questions about what they could/would do or not do. Got all the answers I wanted, but after I bonded with the Eclipse I lost interest in the Monaco project. The Eclipse & the Monaco III couldn't be more different beasts but for some reason that Eclipse vented the GAS out of my system. The price tag of the Monaco was probably a weeee bit of a factor in my appetite loss. But dayum, seeing those pics of your new Artist has me scrambling around for my notes & old emails. Do ya think its too late for a "Santa order"?Tis the season for a new axefa la la la laaaaaa, la la la laaaaaaaaaNoonan
