wow what happened to the fret-board?

the Jaguar?

years of abuse and wannabee afflictions.

Just wait.... ;)

I got to spend some time with a '64 Jag this summer. Those are fun little guitars. What's the plan for the Explorer, if you don't mind me asking?

Wonder if it'll be edgy?

If, by "edgy" you mean "pointy", then yes.

However, it'll be more like a dull-around-the-edges-after-a-dozen-or-so-double-margaritas.

Pickup rings on a Strat pickguard? What kind of Frankenstein have you created? What did you have to do to get clearance?

Look at the height of the bridge...

Very clever, Jaye. That makes perfect sense to use the PRS screws. I had no idea those notched screws would work with a standard, vintage bridge. Never woulda thought of that...

yeah... I can be clever at times ;)

The guitar is a monster tone machine with a combo of vintage and modern appointments.

The Gregwinds are an excellent canidate for a super switch, great split combinations.

can go from clean to mean with a flick of a switch....

Hey Jay,

As an owner of a '65 Jag, I'd love to see some updated photos of that Jaguar with the needs-love fingerboard.

Holy shit that is awesome. LOTT seems to have excellent taste in guitars, and clearly Murkat can deliver the vision and then some.

Man, that is maybe the coolest guitar I've seen here in a long time.

poor jag was a mess, being a veneer rosewood fretboard and at 7.25 radius did not help either...

Whats that hanging between the Jackson & the Gibson? Looks like a Ric of some kind.

An old Ricky that needs some love :(

re fret, still trying to decide on a pickguard / bridge / pickup situation for it....

Maybe ala "RickyZander"? ;)

TY! I was given ideas, parameters, I threw back some of Ideas, together, "WE" came up with a winner :)

Yes, you can relic poly..... carefully.

Well Jay, I can't touch or hear it, so can't honestly say it sounds and feels terrific, but it sure looks fantastic, and I'd bet a lot that it sounds better than it looks.

That's an entirely new fingerboard? Wow.

I'm challenged building a five-step back door stairway out of pressure-treated wood.

For now, I can only offer my appreciation for your artistry, and thank you for the photos.

Lovely work!

TY,

" That's an entirely new fingerboard? Wow. "

Nope, the original finger board :)

Look very closely and you can see the patch rosewood at the end of the fretboard.

I thought it was an all new fretboard, too.
