scoville Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Bought this here off the forum back in '06. Another member had it for about a year after my original purchase and had the original pickup rewound by lindy fralin and is now back in it. I bought it back from him last year. A recent pic is attached. No mods or breaks and lots of finish checking, neck is straight with very light dimpling on 2nd, 3rd and 4th frets. In the time I've owned is been hardly played at all. Very resonant and plays amazing. Comes with original case which is in decent shape. Here is a link to some older pics: http://users.burlingtontelecom.net/~scoville@burlingtontelecom.net/hamer/hamer%20standard.html $6500 insured and shipped in 48 contiguous states. You pay shipping and insurance outside of that. Paypal is ok but i have to end up with the asking amount after fee's. Money odrder or check ok but you'll have to wait until it clears. Guitar is in Burlington Vermont for any who want to see it first hand. Chris Scoville scoville@alum.rpi.edu
Jim Browne Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Just purchased an amazing guitar from Chris last week. He's a knowledgeable, trustworthy seller, and a great feller, to boot.
Disturber Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 "Best guitars on planet earth folks. Don't miss out." ....message sent from outer space... "they" want this guitar too. Great looking 4-digit!
gorch Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Nice guitar for sure. I would rather play it then sell it.
tommy p Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Is it just me, or does the pic you started this thread with make the color look radically different than the pics in the link?Either way, it's totally badass! Good luck with the sale.
crunchee Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Somebody's gonna have a fun summer with that guitar! Provided that they're not married. Good luck on the sale!

gtone Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Wish I had that much scratch right about now. Hmm...how hard's a Brink's job these days? Those boys look pretty soft like they've been eating too much pastry and such....
Hamer Dave Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Sweet. I need one of these. Has this been refretted, or partially refretted? The headstock shot shows rounded fret ends without the end binding nubs. Though the last frets look to have them. Also, new nut? Would make sense. Don't see any laquer there. Very nice, nonetheless.

No frets have been replaced, all have binding nubs. The nut may have been reset at some point.

Maybe just worn a bit more on the lower frets.
jisham Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Beautiful axe. Not to hijack the thread, but what's the T-type guitar on the far right in this pic:

Not to hijack the thread, but what's the T-type guitar on the far right in this pic:1982 Schecter made by Tom Anderson for George BradfuteGeorge was remodeling his kitchen a bunch of years back and sold it. It has an angled neck. That's one I'd love to get back. Its currently in England.

dgstandard Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Nice to see one not busted up, refinned or Kahlered... Looks great - GLWS if it isn't gone already!
scoville Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 The original nut looks like it was reset with shim put beneath. Everything is original, frets, pots, pickups (one rewound), tuners, case. 4-digits come up from time to time but not many with no issues.$6K shipping not included.
cynic Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I own 0227 and 0252 which were built within months of yours. I can't yet speak to 0227 because Hamer is holding it hostage, but 0252 is an incredibly special instrument.GLWS!
scoville Posted July 5, 2013 Author Posted July 5, 2013 I'll go to $5500 not including shipping or insurance.
FrankieIII Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Beautiful axe. Not to hijack the thread, but what's the T-type guitar on the far right in this pic: Damn, that Hamer's hung like a horse... Should do porn... LOL!!!
cynic Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 I'm surprised it's taken this long, but thank goodness someone's removed the temptation!
