Brentrocks Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 This is a Epi korina V that has been upgraded to the till!!! * CTS 500k pots * bone nut * Gibson logo from a vintage amp * Lollar imperial pickups The logo is lightly tacked on with some of my wife's scrapbook tape, easily removed if desired. I would like to keep the Lollars, and will offer this guitar at a lower price with the original Epi pickups. HSC included This guitar plays and sound GREAT....very high quality build!~!! It is in SUPER cosmetic condition as well!! no fret wear. no cracks or breaks!!! With the Lollars....$650 + shipping and PP With Epi pickups.....$475 + shipping and PP You will be amazed at the playability and quality of this guitar....I would put it up against a CS Gibson!!!!! WHY PAY $5000 FOR A '82 RI????????? Thanks for looking!
rj2858 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Nice guitar, but I've never heard of Gibsoi
svl Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Funny stuff, but those Epi's are decent little geets for the buck. GLWTS, BR.
Brentrocks Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 WOW, THAT'S A BIG LOGO!!!lol...it came off a old, busted 65 Falcon amp
cynic Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Funny stuff, but those Epi's are decent little geets for the buck. GLWTS, BR.I really like the one I own and it's one of the better playing Epi's I've picked up.On par with a CS Gibson? What comes after unlikely?

BlueRedWhite Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Unsung factory often = good shit in my experience. I'm way too fat to pull of the "V" look however.GLWSOh c'mon, that's not a excuse!! Buy it and then loose some weight if you want, but is not required!

Brentrocks Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 C'mon, Brent...you KNOW that longstanding joke.Oh yeah. I'm laughing too.
zorrow Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I like Epi's necks better than Gibby's. Excluding the "GIBSOI" logo, you did the right thing to this one, which is installing better electronics. Now I bet you got a great player that looks, feels and sounds just great. If it was mine, I would just send it straight to someone here to put a "Hamer" logo on it with "Slammer Series" in smaller letters right below. That would be to imply that "for the price I paid for it, I have a great axe here". I guess it does work as an HFC inner joke, right? And that would also be consistent with this guitar's origins, as Slammer Series were made in Korea too --though we know they never made Vectors. One more thing: it needs "1 of 1" engraved on the truss-rod cover as well. Anyhow, I might do something like this some day. Unsung factory often = good shit in my experience. I'm way too fat to pull of the "V" look however. GLWS Albert King played one, so being fat is no longer a excuse.
Brentrocks Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 If I could find a HAMER logo, I would have put one on it....lolNo harm intended Brent - that is a good guitar and a good price. Best wishes with the sale for sure...i'm not mad...not even irritated, I think its funny
