hamerhead Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Neil Peart. Is it pronounced Part, Pert, Peert, Pairt or...?I've heard at least those 4.
atquinn Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Wikipedia says it's pronounced like "peert", but I've always said "pert" for some reason.-Austin
killerteddybear Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 The video sounded like 'pee-art', which Neil would have done in his youth, pissing in the snow...
kizanski Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I doubt he's sitting around debating how to pronounce my name, so I'm not going to worry about it too much.
hamerhead Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 He might if you played better than him.
Steve Haynie Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 How about Carmine and Vinny Appice? Way back a zillion years ago radio DJ's would introduce Carmine "uh piece" because they did not know his name was "uh pee chay." Carmine got tired of correcting people all the time and let them call him "uh piece." Later on his brother did not want to be known so much as Carmine's little brother, so he pronounced it "app eh see."
crunchee Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Young? Nah. Schon or Giraldo. I woulda figured it'd be THIS Neil:
Brentrocks Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 if I ever had a chance to meet him, I wouldn't attempt to say his last name....I would just bow and hand him something to sign
