Beautiful design!........... Hamer got it perfect and the results speak for themselves!. There was a old "MIGHTY MITE" bridge thats been for sale more than a few times times on Ebay for BIG $$$.This one I would think would go for more given the condition. Here is the MM. http://www.ebay.com/itm/80-039-s-MIGHTY-MITE-GUITAR-PART-HAMER-SUNBURST-56-mm-SPACING-/400700020919?pt=Guitar&hash=item5d4b9518b7&nma=true&si=YdnbVrKQlA10X3xECB5Gn0wBbbM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I purchased a NOS Mighty Mite off of that seller for one of my Sunburst's, it came as described and he had a couple more. But they were not all the same widths and one of them had grooves in it like the Tally Bridges.

Guess I should of kept my mouth shut & bid.

But the last time I tried for a Sustain Block it cost me my chance at a shiskov so I vowed to never covet one again.

Yeah when its on Ebay the worlds biggest marketplace its just you and the world looking and bidding. :) Sometimes you get lucky with something though.................. Not long ago I was looking for a Kahler "Palm Bar" for my first 79 Black Hamer Sunburst which came modded with a Kahler when I bought it. They are very hard to come by and I scored it for $25.00 [instead of the $75.00 it was listed for at one point] I don't think thats going to happen here with the Sustain Block. :D................with something like this you just have to pay up to what you have to spend and hope its enough.

FIrst of all, it is ABSOLUTELY a legitimate Hamer Sustainblock bridge, and it is also being sold by a first class seller, and somebody who knows more than a little about Hamers.

I've dealt with them on multiple occasions and would recommend in a heartbeat.

Close, but no cigar.

Given that I would say if your looking for one this WOULD be the one to get. :)

If it hits $200, I'd almost be tempted to pop a few out.

The last one to sell went for $206. Stop making excusses and put your talent where your mouth is... Wait, don't do that nobody wants to see that..

I want mine Nickel Plated BTW.

I assume there not to many different versions except for the very early years with the wood shims. Was planning on picking this one up so it can be used to get measured and be used to make a few new ones with a board member here. I do remember there being some different string spacing.

Basically what I am asking is if another batch of sustain blocks get made would everyone be happy if it was based on measurements from this one up for sale?

I think I'd have to say NO!

Wow I can't believe I didn't win that auction. Thought my bid was stupidly high and was guaranteed to win. Never expected it to go over 400.

WTF ?!?!?!?!?!?

No way some idiot paid that legitimately. Had to be a shill bidder not realizing someone else put in a real $400 bid, right????

Or else I hear the sounds of many screwdrivers removing sustainblock bridges from old Hamers, getting ready to sell them. :)
