Awesome job Carfish!

They sound aggressive but beautiful - very dynamic.

Hell, yeah! Grace sounds very cool and rocky, musically singing with a rounded, vintage voice, sensitively and well defined.

But the first 8 sec. of Enola gave me sh-sh-shivers up & down. And I'm not an explicit fan of neck pickups, normally. Kudos to the player Chris Z Johnson.

Will implant my set TOMORROW!

That sounds really good. Is that your Ultimate on the recordings? If not, what guitar are these Shlabs loaded into?

I'm hoping to get some video from the festival gig from earlier today - Shishkov #0001 made its live debut..

Ted, nice work to you (and Chris the player) I thought those clips captured the vibe

of the pickups.

BTW: appreciated the workmanship of these, nice quality components

and I dug how the creme rings perfectly matched the creme on the bobbins.

I am very lucky indeed to be able to do music with Z. He's always inspirational and supportive as anyone can be. Both of these were straight off the cuff and unedited so I am sure he will slag off the performance but it does give a great insight into his style and the sound of the pickups especially Grace. Notice how she can sound like a big single coil at times. I have never experienced that in a pickup ever.

He is playing my Ultimate #0002 thru dare I say guitar rig 5 which I find is about as good a modeling plug as is out at the moment. We had contemplated using my hayseed 15 and some pedals but straight in was quicker and easier.

The music in the background is the outro to a song that is part of a concept record called inflatable that I have been writing/recording with the lead female vocalist and keyboard player from the rock opera we were part of: dying to make it.

I did notice that - it seemed to move between single and bucker sounds. Intriguing!

One of the thinks I look for in a Humbucker.

Oh you sneaky, sneaky bastard.............but thanks for the props guys. These are really expressive pickups that do the "loud, round, single-coil" thing that I adore so much very well. I'm just bummed I missed out on the offering and that I'm likely to never own such a fine guitar. I WILL try and score a set of these pickups though!
