texwest Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 And I know its a travesty but here's one I stripped myself and had refinished. I loved the guitar. It's the most resonant solidbody I own, but the longer I owned it the more I hated the green. A student borrowed it from me and chipped the finish badly so I finally decided to make make it a color I like.

Thanks , I wasn't sure if the customs also had a bound headstock. Looking at these Guitars- The Hamer folks sure knew how to pick nice wood.

Thanks I can never really photograph just how stunning it really is. The color is more black cherry. I had Marty Bell do the refinishing and I can't say too much about how great his work is. It looked brand-new when I got it back. Everyone that sees it seems pretty stunned by it. And it totally has the 3D flame movement going also.
Ua D Posted January 7, 2018 Author Posted January 7, 2018 That's what I'm talking about. Though admittedly I've browsed your site more than once.
Sentinel Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Me playing my dream guitar - a 2007 Studio Custom that I ordered for myself. 8 lbs weight limit, tummy bevel, Ebony neck, premium quilt, black transparent. Now recently fitted with an excellent Gravelin Charlotte bridge pu... Can you imagine? (Neck pu is a Seymour Duncan Jazz!) The fantastic crew at the Hamer workshop did a remarkable job with this one! (My most heartfelt thanks to them forever!)

Ua D Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 Still amazed how different this can look under any light.
