  2. I hate when I trip and accidentally pull my phone out and go through the checkout process and something shows up at my house. đŸ¤£

  4. CHICAGO! PREPARE THY ANUSES! https://blockclubchicago.org/2026/07/16/star-trek-actor-william-shatner-is-boldly-going-to-riot-fest-to-make-his-heavy-metal-debut
  5. Better grab it before it's $10k. haha. Seems like everything Hamer is going through the roof.
  6. That didn't start until the early 90s when they switched from nitrocellulose lacquer to CAB urethane.
  7. Come to Poppa! In my head that sounds like Bob Seger, but that is the only way I sound like Bob Seger. I had a very Canadian buying experience. First I communicated with Gary, then Alex. I guess Neil must have been off this week.
  8. Cavalier Lion King is a great tele neck pup.

  10. Could be. For those so inclined, DuckDuckGo's latest browser claims to block (at least) most YouTube ads. Not sure if they defeat the tracking or not. I tried a Midnight Special video - no ads at the beginning. That's a step forward.
  11. I always liked telling people their tech issue was a loose nut behind the keyboard.
  12. This is what I was going for when I got the Tubesteader gear. I wanted to essentially platoon a bunch of preamps on the pedalboard and feed everything into either a power amp or the effects return of a combo amp. I didn't want a modeler or profiler - there are plenty of great sounding pedal preamps now. Right now I'm getting by fine with the Tubesteader Roy with the Valbruch Kaluna Drive in front for plexi tones. I'd gladly audition the Royalist in the same setup, but I doubt at this point if I would need both the Roy and the Royalist. Maybe.

  14. I came across this Monaco Monaco Custom Order late last week, was tempted, but held off on buying it. I contacted Empire yesterday, they accepted my offer, and did not charge sales tax for the out of state purchase.
  15. Holy crap. Steve Stevens lost his hair! AND his boots!
  16. From ebay ads, translation via CGPT: The bass is in completely original condition and comes from its original owner, including the original Hamer case. It has been very well cared for and was only played at home. It has never been altered or modified. Apart from a small area of finish damage on the neck, caused by contact with foam over the years, there is no damage. Please see the photo. The bass is technically in perfect working order. The neck is straight, the truss rod works properly, and the electronics function without any issues. Features include a bound body with the original metallic red finish, an ebony fingerboard, and the original passive P/J pickups. Serial number: 717671. A rare and collectible instrument. Shipping costs are to be paid by the buyer. As this is a private sale, no warranty, guarantee, returns, or refunds are offered. No trades.
  17. Damn. The last one on my bucket list…
  18. The Killing Joke is one of my favorites of all of your creations (and that spans a lot of guitars). It was just such a great non-sequitur and incredibly executed. Piti it was divvied up and good on you for putting it back together.
  19. "Vesuvian is a group of punks playing classic rock. Their new album Vesuvian came out in May 2026 out via Worry Bead Records. Find them on Instagram and Youtube." This one may ring a bell LOL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGgCSzXum8E "The link could not be embedded because www.youtube.com does not allow embedding of that video."
  20. I contacted them on another Hamer Newport they had posted a few weeks back and they would only lower the price about $80 bucks.
  21. Two Newports (2000 and 2005 Pro) at the same price in there, too.
  22. OK, so who scored this one? Looks like a little trading may have happened... they've got an M3 and a second Newport on the page, but not on Reverb yet...
  23. Funny you should mention that. Was musing over why I jettisoned all of my previous LE's and Cali's (save for the C3). I love almost everything thing about them. I'm looking at you, Mr. blade switch. But after a nice, long wank on this one, I'm reasonably certain it's the board radius. I just get on better with flatter radii. Particularly, when I venture up into the weedily-weedily region of the 17th-24th frets. That said, I think it's fair to say that this LE and the HA won't be around for very long.
  24. FSA: A nice Monaco III for sale. Also at Empire Music. $1999. (No affiliation) https://empiremusic.com/products/used-hamer-monaco-iii-2003-red-transparent-52593-with-original-hard-case?_pos=3&_sid=9d5621169&_ss=r
