Another cool Hamer out in the wild…

You are a better man than I am. That would be in my "don't play it/don't touch it/don't look at it" category. Anyway now that he ruined the guitar, I will look for it in the FS forum soon! 💜🟣🟪 -

My hands are changing. Thinking about going to 9s.

In my case, the choice was between pulling a Jimmy Buffett or taking Keytruda after my surgeries and radiation treatments. I decided 2 years of infusions was better than the alternative. Call or see your health care provider right away if you develop any signs or symptoms of the following problems or if they get worse. These are not all of the signs and symptoms of immune system problems that can happen with KEYTRUDA or KEYTRUDA QLEX: Lung problems: cough, shortness of breath, or chest pain. Intestinal problems: diarrhea (loose stools) or more frequent bowel movements than usual; stools that are black, tarry, sticky, or have blood or mucus; or severe stomach-area (abdomen) pain or tenderness. Liver problems: yellowing of your skin or the whites of your eyes; severe nausea or vomiting; pain on the right side of your stomach area (abdomen); dark urine (tea colored); or bleeding or bruising more easily than normal. Hormone gland problems: headaches that will not go away or unusual headaches; eye sensitivity to light; eye problems; rapid heartbeat; increased sweating; extreme tiredness; weight gain or weight loss; feeling more hungry or thirsty than usual; urinating more often than usual; hair loss; feeling cold; constipation; your voice gets deeper; dizziness or fainting; changes in mood or behavior, such as decreased sex drive, irritability, or forgetfulness. Kidney problems: decrease in the amount of your urine; blood in your urine; swelling of your ankles; loss of appetite. Skin problems: rash; itching; skin blistering or peeling; painful sores or ulcers in your mouth or in your nose, throat, or genital area; fever or flu-like symptoms; swollen lymph nodes. Problems can also happen in other organs and tissues. Signs and symptoms of these problems may include: chest pain; irregular heartbeat; shortness of breath; swelling of ankles; confusion; sleepiness; memory problems; changes in mood or behavior; stiff neck; balance problems; tingling or numbness of the arms or legs; double vision; blurry vision; sensitivity to light; eye pain; changes in eyesight; persistent or severe muscle pain or weakness; muscle cramps; low red blood cells; bruising. Infusion, injection-related, and allergic reactions that can sometimes be severe or life-threatening. Signs and symptoms of infusion, injection-related, and allergic reactions may include chills or shaking, itching or rash, flushing, shortness of breath or wheezing, dizziness, feeling like passing out, fever, and back pain. -

I know it’s polarizing, but I’m a fan of the reverse Strat. I gigged the chartreuse flake one and it was my main guitar in that band. I still have to wire up the second one I have in ye olde project pile…

I caught her with Jeff Beck on his last ever tour in October, 2022. Jeff has always been amazing live, but I left there a fan of hers too - monster talent!

He’s just coming off of an opening run for Puscifer, and is heading out for 26 more dates with them this fall. In addition to his comedy gig, he just released some new Valley Lodge, has a hard rock band with Chris Reiffert (Autopsy) and a mock black metal band called Witch Taint, and is wrapping up a solo album. He’s also recently released a 4-part comic book/graphic novel and continues to do his artwork on the side (he painted a cool axe for me last year). He’s the busiest guy in showbiz, for sure. As always, kudos to Kiz for the “SCHARTER” logo! -

I love those! My wife and I try to catch the fine print because the side effects are always way worse than the shit they're trying to treat. It's good for a laugh between bad news stories. -

This is all that should be needed at the end of each drug advertisement on television. Nearly all can end in death, so the "warnings" are a bit excessive and oftentimes longer than the body of the commercial. You can tell I hate drug ads... -

Yes sir! I used 11s for awhile in the 90s ("SRV dick measuring" haha). Eventually went to 10s, then I hurt my left hand in a bike crash in 2010 and switched to 9s on 25.5" guitars and 10s on 24.75". I had an epiphany when I got my 1980 Ibby semi hollow; it sounded great we 9s clean, even with no compression thru a SS amp, it just has the jazz tone I've been looking for. The right guitar will sound good no matter what you string it with. YMMV -

If you take it to him again, wrap the headstock in bubble wrap and tell him you did it just in case. We saw him open for Bill Murray last year, and he really won the crowd over. Also, if anyone watches Last Week With John Oliver, Dave's band plays the theme song. -
