  2. Wouldn't this be a 1996 Standard? 🤔
  3. Bill had a heart condition and has had two heart attacks in the past, which may have something to do with this. There are also tons of other conditions that could lead to this. He was a heavy drinker for decades, which doesn't help. I admire his honesty, and always wish that somehow they could have made a final tour work, but honestly I think with his health and also the drummer being far more physically demanding, it wasn't in the cards.

  5. I have a buddy that gets stars to sign guitars. He's been doing it for years. He uses a certain type of marker that rubs off with just a little elbow grease. He'll photograph the autograph on the guitar (kind of artsy) and wipe it clean for the next "star". Collects 8x10 glossies of famous signatures on guitars, without the permanency. Killer guitar! They ain't makin' them anymore...
  6. Haven't looked at the interview, but I think I recall Mr. J playing a Hamer in concert. Or rather, seeing a picture of such. So maybe some HFC interest.
  7. Am I the only one who thinks the logo is strange?

  9. FWIW most if not all of Carter’s used inventory are consignment pieces so plan to offer 85% of asking to start. It’s a gorgeous instrument but I personally don’t care for the P ‘90’s, and 10 LB is a heft, so if nothing else it’s nice to see an instrument that you haven’t before, and be reminded about how great Hamer’s builders were. ☮️

  11. Hi folks - There is a duotone for sale in Ottawa, Canada. $1,599 Cdn (approx $1,130 Usd). I bought my Mirage 1 from Spaceman years back, all good. I'd be more interested if I didn't already have a humbucker/piezo Godin that I'd want to sell before getting another nicer Hamer. Not sure how tarrifs apply to USA made goods... . Spaceman music
  12. Condition & Details This product was made in United States Gee, thanks.

  14. A PSA shout out FOR ORG MUSIC, who is in the process of reissuing the original Funkadelic titles from the original WESTBOUND MASTERS. Many of these original pressings have been impossible to find and or very expensive for decades. Any vinyl released in the past 20 years has been cut from lousy old digital files. Currently up for preorder is Maggot Brain, a universally lauded funk rock masterpiece. Check ‘ em out. https://orgmusic.com/collections/funkadelic
  15. Was it this one? Hamer USA SS1 ss 1 Steve Stevens Signature Guitar with Case 1984 - Red | Reverb It's amazingly pristine!
  16. Either using only one ear bud, In this case I only put my guitar and vocal and nothing else in my ears so I have extra of that, and one ear open to everything on stage- this works best if I’m singing a lot. or adding ambience mics and only routing them to in-ears; many bands I work with add two mics placed at the edge of the stage pointed at the crowd (2x sm57 or cheap mic on low stand, knee height) and only route to in-ears (not FOH). You can also use just one, of any type of mic- it’s just for your comfort, not the house mix or out front. This gives you a controllable amount of “live room” in your mix to counteract isolation. Any ?s lmk 🤘😎
  17. Fans are Vai's favorite piece of gear.
  18. I've had mine on stage with me for many years. I think I paid $70 for mine and now the price is double but worth it.
