How many of you play your guitar straight into the amp...
cloakerz replied to BubbaVO's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I have an a/b box on my pedalboard that can take me guitar-vol pedal-amo if I like. Bypasses the whole works and I do use it sometimes if everything is sounding like i want. -
it would have been a great canada day BUT had to work welding up stainless steel dishwasher exhaust for a keg in vancouver. Way too busy at work but better than no work!

1993 archtop gt. Gave it to my son but it will always stay in the family. Insane low action, no buzz, gritty p90s it rawks!

PRSs--Are they worth the High Prices?
cloakerz replied to Ted's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
bought a used prs ce22 maple top for $1099. Killer guitar, so many tones with the 5 way and plays incredibly well. This is a keeper for me. -

you nailed perfectly the trouble I am having with my m60. distortion is not "marshall" like it is voiced at all (to my ears anyway)so the reason its in the shop. I have read bias is very critical as is tube selection so I'll let the amp dude fix it/tweak it/mod it/whatever it takes.
-
I use a r30-112 and a m60-112 regularly at gigs. the r30 is an awesome light weight 2 channel marshall-fender sound amp. My m60 is giving me fits right now and I think it needs a bias so its in the shop but I love rivera amps.
-
I heard a Rivera m60-112, and 15 years later I finally could afford it and bought one.

What's this Hamer Relic worth?
cloakerz replied to Bruce's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
I got a made in CHINA squier strat with bone nut, UK flag pickguard w/ vintage chrome cover paf's out of a les paul and it really sucks! Cost me all of 50 bucks to do. -
I am coming in late here this post, but my dad had a very old gretch or however you spell it and it was unbelievable. The neck was killer, action was lower than my jackson SL1 and no buzz. I would trade all my guitars to have that one, but he traded it for somethng else long gone. My 2 cents is; yes there is something to those old axes and thats the reason for the price.

I think ed roman likes them, So that should be good enough for you greg. HA!HA!HA!

played lots of years of bass at a church. We went to in ears and they sucked for bass. I could hear myself when I could get the sound guy to crank it up but very often was lost in the mix. These where top of the line in-ears e5's or 6's can't remember but I love my floor wedge better! The church I play at now uses a 4-10 & 1-15 stack so no problems being heard there.

My oldest son came home from school for Christmas. All the gift I needed.

How many of you have downsized your amps?
cloakerz replied to Craig S's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
my guitar rig hasn't downsized, but is often changing to find my tone. right now use a boss gt-8 into a rivera m60-112 combo. that amp weighs a ton but really cranks. -
They don't make (insert here) like they used to
cloakerz replied to polara's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
"the thought that 73 strats are considered "vintage" and going for well over the $250 (max) I would ever pay for one.... Hell in the 80's you couldn't give them away.... now I see them in the $2k range.... THAT is funny!! If I take a crap today and save it for 25 years will it have "mojo" ... or will it still be a piece of shit? ..... I'd say even most of todays Mexi strats are made better than 90% of 70's strats..." Peso I am so there with ya. I had a 79 strat new off the shelf and I played maybe 20-30 of them before I found a good one. To consider them vintage now is a joke to me. Fenders stuff now seems real consistant compared to then. -
Praying for you and your family.
