  1. Very cool. Not 4k cool (guessing) but cool. 😎
  2. Fairly uncommon in that year… note nut replaced and Finish chips at sides of the nut… why is it that these jerkos can’t scribe the finish along the nut first?
  3. I would have loved to hear a re-interpretation of the national anthem by Steve Harris.... Everything I need to know……I learned from Iron Maiden - Southeast of Heaven
  4. Good show. Micheal looks good and played well… the only part that bummed me out was the 15 minutes (seemed like 37) devoted to Rock Bottom. When you’re playin in rhyme of the ancient mariner territory I’ll zone out. Otherwise he played great. Nice lead singer. (Seemed like a grizzled old veteran) but I thought he matched Mogg better than Erik Gronwald (sp?). Just sayin. Best tunes. Only you… too hot.. love to love, doctor doctor… was surprised how many people knew the words to Doctor Doctor. Micheal made a nice mention about Paul and Pete. Jared James Nichols was great and got a great reception. Super nice guy. Sorry Low res cell pics
  5. I'm seeing him saturday good seats... just got a better cell phone, hopefully, I'll get some pics... going to see Jared James Nichols at Manchester Music Mill in the afternoon.
  6. remember the olden daze when we'd have to watch the whole stupid movie to see two minutes of a drugged out Aerosmith and Joe's cool hair,,, lol
  7. Thanks for posting Saul! I was in the front row the next night in Hampton, NH... I have a bunch of pics and a few videos but not sure I can figure out how to share. (PM me if you want to friend me on FB, no pressure... lol) One thing I'll say... filming the from really close doesn't really do the band justice... they sounded much better from 15-20 rows back. I had brad's cabs pointed right at my skull and in that context it sounded wierd... and chris robinson did a good job. he's no tyler but at least he got out there, and there was a really cool selection of deep cuts... combination, draw the line... get it up...(joe had a great story that steven wanted to call it "can't get it up" and Joe was like... pffff, no one wants to hear about that... ) chip away and the two black crowes songs were pretty cool.
  8. I met him and I thought he was a cool dude and loved guitars but didn’t love the fact that I lived in NH (no sales tax) and I had to jump thru hoops on that issue. Talking about me paying cash. a little bit too slick. My father was an Italian guy from Somerville so I didn’t fall off the turnip truck but thankfully, but my spidey sense told me to buy an R8 instead.
  9. I love all the Christopher Guest comedies but the thing is… Spinal Tap Ii. they’re just so disturbingly old. I’m not sure I can deal…
  10. The one's not signed by Rick are even more rare!
  11. If you’re a metalhead, punk or mental defective… it doesn’t get much better than this.
  12. Ouch… but what a way to go out, raising all that money for charity.
  13. good psa As much as gc is messed up, you can find good deals… obviously not one of them.
  14. Btw. I recently got a Nash with a 3 inch circle of glue residue, it was more of a globule really… and naptha cleaned it up in 30 seconds I stand by my comment that goo gone works well if you don’t want to buy a $25 can of naptha to clean an $8 pickguard.
  15. Goo gone. You can probably buy a small bottle at dollar tree or Wal mart. Naptha works well but you’d have to buy a large container and it’s super flammable.
  16. Hi about 4 lbs 15 oz as pictured. I didn’t weight all the parts but I estimated it to be somewhere in the 7 and 1/2 pound range. edit: 7/14. Still working on final clear coats but I aged up some of the metal and plastic parts. Could not seem to get cleanly aged gold covers so I may go nickel… Enjoying the summer of Jaws up in New England.
  17. Hi, Yes I did… but I didn’t do it as well as I could have, the transition spots where you deal with the end grain was really tough to deal with. I also didn’t want to oversand the neck….
  18. Hi. This is my first time spraying an open pore body so maybe someone else can answer better than me… I didn’t go as heavy on the grain filler so I’ll probably end up spraying more than typical. sorry for the non answer!
  19. Hi, so I shot a bunch of necks and I always thought the stew mac (and other suppliers) neck amber looks really orangey.... so I hit it with a aged oil (a la musikraft) sealed it and then used a very light hit of stew mac amber and blended it with aged clear... so it wouldn't look wierdly orange. I'm pretty happy with the color. I'm takin a break and letting everything cure... but will hit it with more coats of Oxford clear. Oxford lacks hardeners and dries quickly... so it should chip and check easily.
  20. Update pics... I started spraying this weekend, sanding sealer, hit it with a very light amount of Stew Mac Vintage Amber and Aged Clear. Masked the neck and hit the headstock with Black nitro. The clear is Oxford Vintage formular nitro (spray can) which is a thinner old school formula which will check and chip nicely. level sanding every so often... it's going on very thin so it may take a while. I thought the color and grain looks good. Alot of work but I think it’s gonna be cool.
  21. I got an idea…Screaming for vengeance, the musical!!!! Scratch that heavy metal parking lot the musical. Lol
  22. I might have been harsh... It's not a bad song, but it's clearly an album track and not a single... I thought No Surprise was a pretty great tune, but if that tune could barely make a dent in album rock radio at the time, chiquita certainly wouldn't.
  23. Aerosmith had MANY classic songs during the 70’s! This was not one of them
