It doesn't look half bad, considering what it could've looked like. Hope it didn't have a lot of holes drilled into it, other than what can be seen in the photo.

Need a clever name for my Warmoth Tele *pics added*

Telewacker's good, but... http://www.amazon.co...t/dp/B0000066G1 ...and you might need a new headstock : Kinda surprised that no one's used TeleBastard before, since they're popular! -
When this song was originally first recorded and released by Santana, no. The assumption/comparison ('natural pairing'?) is politically incorrect to say the least, too.

I remember this song from years ago...typical late 70's/early 80's soft rock, got lots of airplay. It didn't inspire me to pick up a guitar.

Any of you guy's gone all digital for amplification

I'm still a knuckledragger when it comes to gear. The only changes I'm making is that my gear stash is slowly getting less populous. And I'm playing acoustic more often (egad!)...on a 20 year old Ovation, no less. I must be getting old. Correction: THIRTY year old Ovation, one of the deep bowl one knob no sliders models. I AM getting old! And a P.S.: if I can't dial it in with five knobs (volume, treble, mid, bass, presence) or less, I ain't bothered to want to try. -

It's not just playing... I wonder what his dear old Dad would do if Wolfie started growing his hair long and grew a scraggly 'stache and beard? Edited to add: in a Michael Anthony sort of way, natch. Provided that it wasn't Eddie's idea first, that is.

I'm surprised that they're not calling it the 'Peter Green' (yes, THAT Peter Green) model: http://www.hamerfanclub.com/miller.html -
Hamer "Bucket List"

+1. Funny, I stumbled across this video earlier today...presented here for those in a collecting mood: He's richer than Croesus, but I'll bet that he wishes he was still pushing 50 as he was here, instead of 70. -
So, anybody following the Dead this year?

Nice beat, easy to dance to; I'd give it a 65, Mr. Clark. Big +1 on what Bubs said...Dave sounds like the Dave of old, but not like Old Gaspy Dave. This song doesn't make me want to play air guitar or start head bangin', but it ain't terrible, either. Glad that there's only a thin layer of synths on it.

I'd like to hear anything that's 'lost' (like the original Stereo tracks of 'She Loves You'), or near completed alternate versions; or stuff that supposedly wasn't recorded, like Carl Perkins' jam with them at Abbey Road in '64 or '65. Which reminds me, what about Clapton's recording session on 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'? Did he just punch in the solo in one take or what? Plus, I'd heard about his solo being put through a Leslie to make it sound more 'Beatle-y'...is there a un-Leslied version?

+1, BIG time! Hell, even I can wear the finish off of a Strat. Or if I had the fundage, pay somebody to do it for me. Or just buy a Rory Gallagher Strat. For me, the art of the Punisher trumps somebody's idea of beat-up 'mojo' any day.

What are the ugliest Hamer models?
crunchee replied to zorrow's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
You mean the Futura body shape? +1 on that. The waist is too damn skinny, the body shape is really out of whack, IMHO. It looks like a cartoon version of a Explorer (yes, I know that Gibson's Futura design was originally out first before their Explorer). Even if it's originally a Gibson design, it's still fugly. Proportionally, the Explorer/Standard shape is much more pleasing to me. -

I believe your life experience significantly differs from mine because your observation would not ever have occurred to me. LOL! +1. I always thought of the Eclipse as having a Special style horn on the bass side, and a early '60's (non-SG) Melody Maker horn on the treble side. Or maybe it was borrowed from the SS series. Ennyhoo, my concept of this guitar has now completely changed, thanks to Cynic...I can never watch 'Attack of the 50-Foot Woman' the same way again. -
+1! Awe inspiring and totally drool-worthy!

NTL Shop Happs 12/18 SuNdAy update SG Spcl fin
crunchee replied to murkat's question in Ask the HFC Experts
Mmmm, nice work, nice stuff! I plan to call ahead with a small project for the Murkat Shop, after the beginning of the year... -
Congrats! It must be a sign of the times...I have a relative that does eBay sales in clothing and collectibles, she says that this year bidders are tending to bid the minimum, regardless of whether there's 6 days or 6 seconds left, whether it's a $1 item or $100 item. Any other year I might have bid on that bass, but this year I couldn't afford it, no how, no way.

Just one "desert island" instrument...
crunchee replied to Willie G. Moseley's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I just want to clarify...the criteria is: something that is worth $350 or less RIGHT NOW to even the most motivated buyer, correct? Otherwise I can see this topic going in the direction of the vintage Strat bought for $200 in 1968, or somebody's ultra-fortunate pawn shop or garage sale purchase from someone who obviously didn't know what they had. A MIJ Yamaha is gonna push that $350 limit easy, unless it's in really bad shape or a really early, really budget model, IMHO. -
Just curious, does anybody have one? Use one? Have owned or used one in the past? I've heard good things about the Super Champ amps, but not much word of mouth about the others that Rivera had a hand in. I've also heard that they have a Mesa-Boogie style of overdrive channel, is that true or just hype or wishful thinking? What DOES the OD channel sound like? TIA!
