  1. Nothing in the HFC schematic database. Is it a good enough Tele to warrant keeping it without the Fishman bridge? I'd keep it and futz with the Fishman part as I had time. Until you get a TRS connector (and splitter to put it to two amps) will you ever know if the Fishman is operating properly?
  2. My wife went out and purchased a WalMart First Act guitar for my son when he was around five years old. The original bridge was a piece of bent metal that was placed way too close to the nut for any hope of playing in tune. I bought this inexpensive Guitar Fetish bridge ($12), put it in the correct position and it tuned up nicely. ETA: okay, that one is Out of Stock. There's this one for about the same price and also in stock, but doesn't mount on all four corners like your example. Both bridges are top-loaded rather than though body if that is an issue.
  3. Maybe the bass could open an OnlyFans account...
  4. That's it! I KNEW it looked familiar I just couldn't place it. It really looks like a Schon (only without Neal's 'Testarossa' bridge)!
  5. Given he's been, in HFC parlance, 'IBS' for five years next week, I doubt he has an opinion one way or the other. 😉😆
  6. That Zebco looks pretty legit, too! Get that thrown in on the deal!
  7. Deal! Would love to be near enough to Brescia to pick that up (or really, anywhere in Italy!).
  8. Cool. Are those Lace Sensors or a Peavey proprietary pickup?
  9. My '91 Gibson TKL case was made in Canada. My 2019 Gibson TKL case was made in China. Interestingly, there are several threads comparing the contemporary Chinese cases with the domestically-made versions with the consensus being the Chinese cases are of superior finish.
  10. Judging from his shins, it appears the guitar was reliced through a brutal series of Muay Thai kicks.
  11. Wow! So checked I was looking for a claim of "Murphy Lab Finished!"
  12. Polar substances break up polar substances (e.g., water). Non-polar substances break up non-polar substances (e.g., the sticky crap you're dealing with). Start with a simple solvent that will have a low incidence of ill effect: vegetable oil. Take the pickguard off the guitar (of course) and wipe the goop with a bit of vegetable oil. It should break up the goop without harm to the pickguard. The vegetable oil is easily cleaned off with any household cleaner, even dish soap.
  13. Update: they still don't have it (wink wink nudge nudge): Never noticed the solid 12th fret marker.
  14. Dr. Penrose said it best (and 35 years ago!) An absolute manifesto on AI and specifically the impracticability of the Strong AI that the current Weak AI is claimed to be. Existence cannot be reduced to an algorithm, therefore a machine cannot be created to provide correct results in all situations. [/rant] I need to dust my copy off. It's been a while!
  15. Uh, no thank you? Amazing, it's been nearly 20 years, and I miss it even less each day!
  16. Never a solo artist - she was part of a team. No, thank you RRHoF. Carol Kaye Rejects Rock Hall of Fame Induction - Bass Magazine I admire her stance on principle. Interesting insights into her career origins and the industry, as well.
  17. Agreed on the Aztec Gold! This was a '96 I bought from @Punkavenger. I only sold this to afford the Kiz' Senior. It went to @capridriver in Germany. Fantastic guitar with locking Schallers added by a prior owner.
  18. Oh, the unrequited love I have for the Ibanez RG! And that one is even more spectacular than the dayglow finishes.
  19. I, too, was all in until I read 0.83" at the first fret. At that price I didn't have a problem with anything else. Love the black on an Eclipse.
  20. Might I recommend also the complimentary product:
  21. Pffffft. My guitars list themselves on Reverb! "Free to good home"
  22. Don't know about @Jakeboy, but growing up in the 70's / 80's the new ones my buds owned were 13# monsters I wanted nothing to do with! I stuck with SGs and ES Gibsons until I finally bought one of the new Lesters in 2020. I will say it took quite a while to get used to the quirks, but I really get the veneration now. They're great.
  23. I haven't played many PRSi, but the KL380 I played was an absolute exception to the rule. (random interweb photo)
