The Shark Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 My two Kauer's are great guitars. That's a good price. 4 Quote
fguitbert Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 Hmm, tempted to scratch my itch for a Monaco III with this… I’ve never seen a toggle with five positions. If it has Master tone and Master volume, how do we interact with the middle pickup? Quote

Very tempting price on that and a P-90 guitar would be very interesting. Quote
duncans Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 Freeway makes a 6 way toggle switch as mentioned by dgango49. That may be what it is. Quote
fguitbert Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 The have confirmed me it is indeed a 6-positions Freeway switch 2 Quote
fguitbert Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 The answer I got was that they did not know how it was wired, but this would be the configs from Freeway’s site. Pretty cool…. 3 Quote
Eli Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 It's interesting that Gibson doesn't order cease and desists for the Fire bird body and head stock... Quote

Something was done several years ago by Kauer to address that. Gibson had contacted Kauer Re: a C & D order or something similar. Kauer made changes to the body and headstock that evedently made Gibson happy. Having said that , this one doesn't appear to be the newer model. Edited July 25, 2024 by duncans 2 1 Quote

polara Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I have a Banshee: mine is done up like a White Falcon, white with with gold Powertrons, gold hardware and sparkly gold trim. Kauer makes a great guitar, and whoever buys this will not be disappointed. Excellent price. 6 Quote

bsteff666 Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Someone should grab that Kauer Banshee at Dave’s. Its a good price and there really are not a whole lot of the version one Banshees out there, as Doug was forced to make changes to the shape to keep the Gibson folks happy. Both versions are so well engineered…there is no neck dive with a Banshee. Here is my pair. Version one on the left, and the updated design on the right. 7 Quote

velorush Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Always been fond of those he builds for Scott Holiday: the Organa Major, for example and Excalibur 6 Quote

bsteff666 Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 My cadillac green one pickup Banshee was supposed to go to Scott Holiday. Midway through the build… Scott decided that he really needed a baritone (Organa Major). So Doug sold the green one to me…and it lived a much less interesting life. 😂 3 Quote
