paulcozby Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 I picked this one up off of GC site 2 days ago, does anyone here know anything about it?
Ralph Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 More pics please. Also, I'm a fellow Tampa area resident. What's up.
Steve Haynie Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 I do not know anything about that V, but I will take a chance and offer $350 for it. Dibs! Whatever...
Victor (Fret Friend) Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 From one picture? C'mon fella: post some pics...
WorstBandName Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Was that the one that was listed at $9,999? It was up there for about 2 weeks. A lot of guitars, that formerly/allegedly belonged to PEter Fung (a well-known Hamer Collector and member here) once owned it.
cmatthes Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 That was a clone built to resemble Nielsen’s checkerboard 1979 Vee. There are a lot of different stories behind it, so I guess maybe reaching out to Paul, Jol or Curt M. would be the best way to get the straight story. What is the serial # on this one?

Ham Rex Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 You got the golden ticket. Just amazing a Rick Nielsen Checkered V.
cynic Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Is the serial an ink stamp or stamped and filled in with paint? Interesting location.

Bluesking Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Edit - just realized the "Rick pic" is serial #1. Disregard. ----------------------- Is that the same guitar as shown in the photo with Rick?
