velorush Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Quote Reverb CEO David Mandelbrot said the company plans to roll out a new option for sellers “that allows you to get paid faster and drop off your gear locally, without needing to create a listing or ship.” Any idea what that last bit could mean? Some sort of brick-n-mortar arrangement that would receive goods and ship them for the seller? Private shipping via a hub system a-la Amazon? Lots of interesting possibilities for value-added services. I for one would pay good money if I could sell something cross-country and drop it with someone FOB Shipping Point and get handed a check. I might actually sell some gear (if I could remember where I put it). 🤔😂 2 Quote
diablo175 Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Good! I kinda liked Reverb back before Etsy got their claws in them. 1 Quote

My guess is that they will partner with Guitar Center and use GC as the drop off location. Alternately, UPS stores. 1 Quote

hamerhead Posted April 26 Posted April 26 FENDER BUYS REVERB! Well OK, the company that owns most of Fender bought it. Doors should be closing any day now..... https://www.musicradar.com/music-industry/fender-will-not-get-preferential-treatment-reverb-has-been-sold-by-etsy-to-investors-in-fender-and-soundcloud-but-says-its-partnership-with-the-guitar-manufacturer-remains-unchanged 2 Quote
DarkHammer Posted Sunday at 01:14 PM Posted Sunday at 01:14 PM Well, it's going to be interesting to see how this sale will impact our experience on Reverb. I hope new owners will treat Reverb and Fender separately, and will make some positive changes at Reverb. Quote
