That was a treat indeed, what a great interview! The only thing I'm not sure about is the design of his signature guitar, not that it matters. Very cool guy and amazingly talented. His dad is my all time guitar hero period.

There was nothing about that kid that didn't impress the hell out of me. He is absolutely on top of every facet of his music. Wicked talent there.

Saw that and I thought it was a great interview. Huge talent in his own right, he is not riding on his daddy's coattails. He seems like he is really a nice down-to-earth guy who just loves music. I know it's comparing apples to oranges but he kind of reminds me a of Shawn Lane, not in the way he plays but just some of his mannerisms.

Great interview!! I have had him on my radar since I caught a reel on FB promoting one of his songs but I only recently downloaded their latest "The End" Wow!

Guy's got it all. Multi-instrumentalist and damned talented. Great song writer with a very solid voice (though IMO I'd like it if he had a bit more grit/gravel in it. A lil' too sweet for some of the hard hitting tunes they do.)

Is it just me or did anyone else hear a bit of Foo Fighters vibe in Mammoth's music?

Finally watched the video last night. Seems like a really great (normal) guy who has looked at the shadow he was born under and decided to be himself rather than "someone's" son. Fantastic of Beato to avoid making the interview about EVH and making it about the artist.

I have to admit I was surprisingly filled with emotion when Wolf said, "everyone thinks this song is "Mean Street," but "Mean Street" is like this," and he played it more or less perfectly. Good grief! He then demonstrated how his song, which on the surface sounds similar, was played completely differently.

I came away completely impressed and decided his music warrants a revisit.

He seems like a smart likable guy. And his talent is unquestionable. However I really don't like the production on the Mammoth stuff I've heard. The last album and some new songs. It's just way to un-dynamic. Talk about loudness war. I wish they would just let the music breathe more. Are all compressors and faders on ten when they do the mixes? One song then my ears kinda bleed.

It’s not just you. That’s one of the first comparisons I made in my mind when I listened to his first album.

Came across this interview on Song Cake where he essentially shares the same stories and insights.

I didn't want to be the first one to mention the, "F-word", but there you go. There is a Grohl-esque, one-man-band thing going on with WVH Mammoth.

Dude is an absolute badass. I like him!

A very 90s sound. I LOVE that he does his own thing and not VH4.

Beato is one of those guys who I'll watch even if the person he's interviewing isn't on my radar because I know it'll still going to be a good watch.  This was the first time I heard any Mammoth music. I'm quite impressed with Wolf and his music.

Just finished the video and could not be more impressed . He acts like a regular guy and (gasp) has humility, which is a rare trait among artists. What a great hang.

I loved him explaining the difference between Eruption tapping and Hot For Teacher tapping. Then he plays an off the cuff example of each as if it is as easy as playing the major scale.

I love his recording process too.

What's a major scale? :P
