tafkathundernotes Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I don't see the flaws in the listing, but I'm no expert on these things. Is the S/N not from the Connecticut era? I know he's WAY overpriced for an opening bid. The only red flag for me is that email thing in his listing:
EMAIL ME DIRECTLY at [email protected] I love answering questions…Please for security reasons and because I cannot be sure you will get your question answered due to most ebay generated emails do not get past the junk mail / spam guard
Now that's a bunch of BS! For security reasons, you should NEVER email outside of the ebay system, because ebay will never get a copy of the communication. You're dead in the water if there's a dispute.
serial Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 That guitar never listed for $4k. No upgrade-that's a standard top.
DavidE Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 $4k????? It's a standard issue Studio. Not even a studio custom. There are NO upgrades on that guitar.
cmatthes Posted July 31, 2007 Author Posted July 31, 2007 Wait...You mean the Duncan pickups aren't upgrades?
Matt Mattson Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Same top I'm playing except his is worse: and I didn't order anything premium. I'm sure his plays like buttah and all that crap which is why it's for sale.
madhatter Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 It looks like it has a belly cut which my Studio Mahogany doesn't have. Do maple top Studio's have belly cuts?
DavidE Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I tried to give him the proper information. His response? My information came right from the hamer sight. And the $4,000 is the MSRP as stated in the auction material the comparison prices are MSRP. I respect that you are an officiando so if you have specific what it is, I'd appreciate hearing and then I can do more research. But I bought this from a pro musician - the p90s are premium, etc.ThanksRichardP90's????
tafkathundernotes Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 officiando There's a new screen name for somebody: "OFFICIANDO"
kizanski Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 officiando There's a new screen name for somebody: OFFICIANDO Want me to change you to that?
zorrow Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I wonder what "officiando" means after all... It looks to me like some sort of... Spanish?
lonote049 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I wonder what "officiando" means after all... It looks to me like some sort of... Spanish? The question, of course, is WHAT SORT of Spanish?
Jamie K Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I bought this from a pro musician That settles it for me....
mattb Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I emailed him and told him what was up. Looks like he changed the listing.
kizanski Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I want to be 'Officiando!'Be careful what you wish for.It can be arranged.
Steve Haynie Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Instead of "Supporter" or "HFC Member" in our profiles we need an "Officiando" classification.
kizanski Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Instead of "Supporter" or "HFC Member" in our profiles we need an "Officiando" classification.LOL! I like that idea a lot!
Matt Mattson Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Tony Officiando and Dawn... What I could never figure out back then was which one was "Officiando" and which one was Dawn. Tony I had figured out (but I know now you can never be too sure about that either).
MCChris Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Rumor has it that Tony Orlando is one of the most well hung personalities in entertainment history. We're talking Milton Berle proportions here, folks.
