gwayne Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Thanks Gwayne, if you like any I am sure Jol will be happy to make em for you! As a matter of fact he did - this is almost a twin to your Tortoise Newport, minus the Bigsby and bound f-hole.
jwhitcomb3 Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 What a great batch of guitars! That Artist Korina is insane! You have very good taste!-Jonathan
Steve Jackson Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 Very cool Gwayne, your looks fantastic!Hi whitcomb3, The artist Korina is about my favourite. Thanks for the compliment Jonathan, though, the praise belongs to Hamer, as these are all their Custom designs by Jol, Frank & the team. I just saw them at the NAMM show & had to have them!!!
serial Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Congrats! Those are all top-notch customs. VERY nicely done.
MCChris Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Holy crap, that one is killer! What type of Duncans are in that?
Camstone Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Great choices. I especially love this one.
DavidE Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Wow!!!! I'll bet the crew really liked building those.

Zoner Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 SEXY! What do they call those little triangle inlays? They look like the ones on the Peavey Odyssey that was copied for the Talladega body shape! (ducking) Z
cmatthes Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 What do they call those little triangle inlays? They look like the ones on the Peavey Odyssey that was copied for the Talladega body shape! (ducking) Z "Vic-ups"?? I don't know - 30th Anniversary inlays?
Camstone Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 The Victory inlay is made up of three pieces, the two outside trapezoids and a center triangle. The inlay pattern on this guitar (two posts up) is the center inlay triangle except on the twelfth fret. Here's a pic that may illustrate it better:Inlay PatternSo they essentially just leave off the two outside pieces on every inlay except the 12th fret. For sure it's less work, but probably an up-charge.
Steve Jackson Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 Thanks "serial" " Feynman" " BCR Greg" I am thrilled with this lot!" MCChris" The certificate doesn't say, I will have to check them out. I ordered these guitars in January & just got them, so I don't recall. Thanks Camstone , yours is the best Maple top I think I have seen!!! Very "Brock Burst" Love it! Please put me in the line if you EVER sell it ... Lol."DavidE" I met the crew a month back, they were fantastic guys. The did mention they had fun with my order. Once these are done, I will order some more ..... If Fender don't have the distribution down here~!!!That one I should keep " Punkavenger"I have noticed that "Lew" you can blame Jol for that ... LOL.
Pieman Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Has the Australian currency strengthend against the US dollar, as has the Canadian - what - loonie? If so, the US guitars are now 30% cheaper than they were five years ago. I have a German friend who buys on Ebay, has them delivered to me, and he takes them back after a visit as used guitars. If he doesn't like them, he flips them in Germany for a hefty price. I got to play a nice red 335 for two months once 'til he came over and got it. He has built up quite a collection this way.
belgian Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 That's a terrific collection, let us know how the Aussies react on these.I guess you show them on a local forum too ?
