Tubes, strings, cables, pedals... I see the threads and I just have to say that most of these things are available at great prices from the dealers that are in this forum. RS, Lost Art, Rocketeria, BCR...(and any others that I didn't list), we ALL can help with such requests. Give the guys that support the forum the business.

When's the last time that Music123.com answered a PM with a tech question?

Look closer to home when seeking stuff, folks. We ALL have kids to feed, and those of us that are on this forum will treat you better than Musician's Friend ever will. Keep us in business.

People can't possibly buy from a known reliable resource, they need to get their stuff from some unknown and thereby secret source... that makes them feel special.

Amen... I agree 100%

Ran into a friend at Safeway the other day... imagine my surprise to see a mixed bouquet in the shopping cart.

They saved $2.00 on flowers that will last 1/2 to 1/3 as long as mine... And talk about an elephant in the room as we stood there and chatted...

$20.00 or $30.00 ain't gonna sink me but every little bit helps these days.

Yeah guys when your ready to scuba dive or Buy scuba gear you know who to see. 10% off to all HFC members who actively post on the forum. LOL

Im not the biggest fish in the pond but i tell my customers Bring THEIR catalog on in the store and shop. I'll match anyones price thats an AUTHORIZED dealer.

Greg or Dave I need a JCM 800 combo amp (2x12) for the house since both of mine are now in the Hamer Cave. I also need (3) hercules stands for my collection. If anyone else here is a dealer chime in. Im not slighting anyone either.. Greg and Dave are the only two I know that are dealers and I have used both. No need to shop anywhere else!!

I agree, and I've done business with just about all of the folks Greg mentions.

However, There is a huge group of people who strongly prefer to buy stuff on the internet without engaging in a personal conversation with a human being. These buyers are not going to call to buy strings. Willcut and many other brick and mortar stores have incorporated a "shopping cart" feature into their website where you can buy accessories, pedals, and even many of their guitars by clicking and entering a credit card number. It's just the way many people have become accustomed to purchase "commodity" products today.

I'm not presuming to tell anyone how to run their business, but I suspect a shopping cart function on a website would generate a large quantity of sales of tubes, strings, cables and pedals.

And when are you going to have some of those skull and crossbones BCR T shirts?

Excellent observation. We came to the same conclusion and added a shopping cart to our updated website.

I agree you have to play BOTH. We're one of the BEST local shops in the Georgia Coastal area. The internet sales account for about 40% of my sales IE GAS money...:ph34r:

I just spent $10K+ polishing my www.scubamarketusa.com website.

To deny the internet presence/sales is equal to the Witch Doctor being mad at the medical doctor for making him well...

I.e being mad at the competition for increasing their sales by having internet presence will put you in a double wide trailor while you watch them fly over you in their Gulfstream GV

However go get your scuba air fills on the internet. Go get trained to be an O/W diver on the internet

Hey I resemble that remark! Internet shopping; last refuge of the social dysfunctional!

Seriously.

Support these guys. They all do a lot for all of us here and musicians in their respective communities as well.

It would be a very bleak world without them.

With all due respect,Greg;answer your p.m.'s & e-mail before you accuse me of going elsewhere.

No doubt.

You guys/gals got any brains you need fertilized, you know who to PM.

...it almost makes me wish I had a logo or something.

Edited to add:

But on a more serious note, I do appreciate this thread. I never really thought about getting all the consumables from people on the site. I haven't bought any since I joined, but I will look here first for strings, picks, small parts, etc.

A while ago I asked about guitar polish. Whomever sells a great guitar paint swirl remover/polisher at a good price, please PM me, k?

Got my strings, push-push pots, and GregWinds for my Hamer Standard in the mail yesterday. I could go to Guitar Center or Sam Ash, but I prefer to buy from a dealer with opinions that he isn't afraid to stand behind. The independant dealers need our support. I, for one, am glad my "hometown music store" is still alive and kicking in PA (about 1200 miles away)!

With all due respect as well, there is no accusation here...... and you have my 800 number, which is the best way to call me in the continental US.
